A genius came up with this song only he didn't know it. It wasn't about the craft, it was about his heart. It was about getting out the pain he was in for loving her. She was his everything and what if he couldn't give his everything, her everything? She deserved her hearts desire. Young people can be so fool hearted, so brash when dealing with forces they don't understand, love is too much of a responsibility to place on a kid even at 22. At 18 you are considered to be a man in this country but how does one just become a man when all your life you been mommy's baby? You're no more a man the day before you turn 18 then the day after, except, now you are considered to be a man. Even four years later, when you are still trying to figure it all out and this something incredible unsuspectingly walks into your life. Looking back now I realize saying I never meant to confuse you was as much for me as it was for you. I never meant to complicate your life, was that a understatement or what? When I said I love you like I never loved nobody I meant every word. But I was such a fuck up, I fucked everything up and on purpose. I did it even after you told me not to. I knew too much but all I really knew for a fact was that I loved you and more than likely it was going to be like you loved him nine months later. I knew that day you put me out what was going to happen, Hell I knew the day I met you who you were and I like to think you knew it to. I couldn't disappoint you, I had to reassure you that you were going to be fine but I had to reassure myself first. I was losing it and I was going to lose you and him and I couldn't just let that happen, no one was going to just be me in front of my face, doing my job. I'd do something to them first or anyone who would try to stop me. It was man up time and I had more than enough of a reason to get it. But you were in my head and all I could hear was you saying that's not you. God she can't stop me, she can't make me not handle my business. You changed my heart, in ways forever by caring for me. Damn I hated you for that, I didn't want to do anything you wouldn't agree with, this had to be love or so a young 22 year old assumed and if this was love? It's one thing to want somebody, we all want people for one thing or the other. It's one thing to need somebody, everyone has wants and needs. But it's entirely different to say I love somebody and realize you mean it. I never felt like that for anyone. No matter how many times I may or may not have used those words, I never felt for anyone what I was feeling. Some scary shit to go through without guidance. But it was time to stand up, even though the out come from what we just did was months from being official I knew when I walked way from my pleas at the door you just put me out of, what I had done. You have been the Muse behind every song I wrote "You" I'm going to always love you, that's my curse. Guess there could be worse ones to imagine but it us what it is and HIM?
