I remember I had a match at the same time as this cup final and didn’t get to see it live. After the game I got on my phone and the first thing I saw was “Messi’s best goal ever?” with a picture of him celebrating with Dani Alves. I had a million different possibilities running in my head, what could he have possibly done this time? Then I saw the replay and he somehow exceed my expectations. What a goal, what a player. You NEVER see this type of goal, it's a type of goal that is seen once every 10 or so years, and that's being extremely generous. Yet Puskas always goes to yet another overhead or scissor kick. Those are cool and flashy, yes, but it's absolutely absurd that people didn't vote for the complete insanity that Messi did here. In the last 20 or so years, we had like 4 goals of this type, 3 of them were done by Messi, the other was Neymar in Brazil.
