This version of Messi was the fittest player alive. This guy literally won Ballon Dor in 4 consecutive years (2009, 2010, 2011, 2012). Youll never see a player pull this kind of weight again coz it requires unbelievable level of fitness and brilliance to dominate world football for those consecutive years. Messi is an alien. He hardly ever was injured in those years 😊

My love affair with the game started with Diego Maradona...and I was sure there won't be another like him in my lifetime...baggio came close and flattered to deceive ..but Leo is a different level altogether...his speed and skill allows him to toy around with the opposition...after all, you can't compare vauxhalls with a Ferrari

Leo has taken football to a different level altogether...he was so far ahead of the rest that he used to dictate terms...zico, Best, Diego, baggio, Ronaldo nazario, zidane, Romario...all were brilliant...but they used to have bad days ..with Messi, there was no bad day...win most ..lose some...but no bad day... why is that freekick a yellow card for messi? finally I saw this full version, the has given the whistle to shoot, he does stop the freekick, he goes to the wall to warn them but then gives yellow to messi. messi had every right to score it if it had went in.

my thinking is this: messi and xavi were complaining about the wall. the ref watched and listened, and when he went to go talk to the athle players, messi I guess abused the distraction for goal. i guess. this is different than the 2010 or 11 goal funnily enough also against athle and courtios though
