I just came hear to say that Rahim is not a popular name in Iran these days and the praying scene is so stupid for any Iranian because Iranian women dont dress like that and again Iranian dont pray whole toghether at home and again 80% of Iranian are not religous and dont even pray...
@drqesen56602 жыл бұрын
I mean immigrants are usually more religious than the people in their countries
@nazis56952 жыл бұрын
@@drqesen5660 That is not true for Iranians specificlly. Generally, Iranians abroad are not religous as well. Just watch Shahs of sunset which is also another stupid show but at least you can have an idea about Iranians. Im not saying we dont have religous people, of course there are many of them. My point is that Islam is a religion and not a culture. So you cant combine Arabic names with traditional Pakistani clothing to produce an Iranian family. It might not differ for Americans but it looks rediculous for Iranians.
@drqesen56602 жыл бұрын
@@nazis5695 culture and religion are usually really similar through because culture is mostly affected and shaped by religion and non arab muslims parents do sometimes name their children arabic names because its in the quran and stuff but I think you’re right if they really used pakistani clothing and all, they could’ve done a better job with the iranian rep then (For context I myself am a non muslim turk and I also notice that lots of them confuse religion and culture but the line between them is almost non existent so I can’t really blame them)
@nazis56952 жыл бұрын
@@drqesen5660 That's right. Of course they are related. But the thing that makes me mad here is simplyfying the issue by the Americans and steryotyping. I mean even the actor playing Rahim here is partially Iranian and they could make it right if they realy cared about it. About the names, it is not realistic for me. Specially among Iranian abroad the name Rahim is very unlikely. You could even check out the name of the probably half Iranian actor's name here.
