I love that you guys went back to this gem and didn't miss it. It was such an amazing song when it came out. Very sad what happened with Wendy when they started promoting this song. Have you guys reacted to Red Velvet's "Ice Cream Cake" song? It's one of their older title tracks, but it's like a producer's maze. Very interesting to listen to if you thought Psycho was a bit tame.

It makes the last part of the song, "hey now we'll be okay, it's alright" very eerie and almost unintentionally foreshadowing the Wendy incident/injury and that this song now holds the meaning in the part that RV are reassuring us fans they'll be okay.

I also prefer when you stop the video in between to explain some sounds. This is what makes your reactions so different bc other reactors just listen to the song and then say if they like it or not. You analysis the beat and make us able to hear sounds we otherwise would have overhead. Paired with Dana's fashion knowledge it's a perfect mix of visual information and sounds I never head before. It makes me enjoy every song even more 🙈 (or ruin it like with the wrong footsteps in RV - Bad boy 😂). In this case I also prefer when you speak German bc it's easier for you to catch the right words. Also imo you seem to have more energy in German (or maybe I'm just too used to the German sound 😂)

This is why I love this song! You come in expecting a song called Psycho to be crazy and all over the place, but Red Velvet introduces us to the least expected version of a psycho which is precisely how a psycho is portrayed in society as well...normal on the outside but so very different on the inside! They don't necessarily take on the concept of a psycho head on, but instead portray the feeling of becoming one or feeling like one which is why the song is more tame than expected, despite still being very layered. This song was so well thought out conceptually, instrumentally, and vocally that their artistry truly shines and they embodied this concept very well. Also to bring a sense of longing and a sound of reminiscence to a song is something truly only the artist themselves can bring vocally which I highly applaud Red Velvet for. Without their sound as a group and as individuals, the song wouldn't be as good as it is.

Very much appreciate the fact that you attempt to use/"stretch" your English vocabulary even if you might sometimes struggle with the pronunciation. E.g. "Differentiate" which "native" speakers sometimes have problems pronouncing. It is impressive that you try so hard. Also if you are questioning stopping the M/V for comments; I, for one, don't mind it at all. Unless it's done "too often".

Ifra Al ja aber je mehr sie auf englisch reden, desto besser und geübter werden sie. Ich mein für deutsche gibt es deutsche Untertitel, dass ist das Beste was ihr erhalten könntet? Find beides gut und tbh lieber machen sie es auf englisch während jeder sie versteht, als auf deutsch und Leute aus der ganzen Welt müssen noch Stunden auf Subtitles warten, weil sie echt gar nichts verstehen. Nicht wie ihr vllt paar Wörter. Aber das ist ja auch gut für euch alle, euer englisch verbessert sich und glaubt mir ab nem Zeitpunkt werdet ihr die englische Sprache echt lieben. Aber ja sie haben noch bissel probleme auf englisch zu reden, aber das hat jeder mit Fremdsprachen.

xEvil Sadness ja geht mir genauso. In deutsch fand ich die reactions viel natürlicher. In englisch wirken die reactions einbisschen awkward und das vokabular ist einbisschen eingeschränkt. Und ich mein englische subs sind doch gar nicht so schlimm. Und das sag ich nicht, weil ich deutsch kann. Wär ein anderer account z.b. auf nativem englisch und würde plötzlich auf deutsch wechseln, fände ich es auch ein wenig gewöhnungsbedürftig

cupcaketree 396 Die Englischen subs enstehen aber nicht autmatisch. Unteranderem ich erstelle die freiwillig, unbezahlt in meiiner Freizeit. Das beansprucht Zeit. Bei Englischen Videos ist dies nicht nötig, weil man meinen sollte, dass alle dieses einfache Englisch verstehen. Dennoch gibt es jetzt sogar paar Deutsche Untertitel zu den Videos, weil anscheinend nicht jeder mit dem Englisch klarkommt.

6:12 the sound you were talking about was a last minute addition to the song. It was shared by Red Velvet that their executive producer suddenly sent a long ass message on their group chat which is Lee Soo Man, founder of SM Entertainment, explaining what sound he wants to be added on the song like maybe 2 nights before the release? The sound engineer had to work on it overnight lol but it turned out great!

L 127 true, That‘s what I am telling everybody. German people can at least understand the most of it whereas ppl around the globe have to wait hours for subtitles to understand anything. I mean german people even get german subtitles, isn‘t that so generous of the ppl that make the subtitles? Idk, just kinda sad how they always talk about german videos and through that make Dana and Rahim kinda uncomfortable or more like self conscious although it’s the best for everyone when it’s in english. But yeah, i get that in german it’s more natural but that’s how languages work, that aren’t your mother tongue. But srly hoping that everybody will get used to it and be happy

Ich denke, ich weiß, was Dana meint. :) Der Melodienverlauf von "psycho, psycho" klingt ähnlich zum Melodienverlauf von "in the club, in the club". Vielleicht sind es sogar die selben Noten(? ). Jedoch sind es bei dem Wort psycho jeweils zwei Noten. Und bei "in the club" drei Noten, wobei die zwei Töne von "in the" wahrscheinlich die selben Notentöne haben. Bei beiden geht der Melodienverlauf nach oben. Und die Tonlänge ist glaub ich gleich lang insgesamt. Also "psy-" ist so lang wie "in the" und "-cho" ist lang wie "club". Jedenfalls habe ich diesen Eindruck :)

Das was Rahim so stört war gewollt von den Songwritern/Producern. Das Ziel war dass es nicht so stereotypisch nach "Psycho" klingt sondern eher beruhigend und schön um einen Kontrast zu schaffen. (Erklärt eine von ihnen in einem Interview was echt interessant ist. Sie ist Teil von einem schwedischen Duo namens Sunshine die Texte und Melodien machen für viele Kpop Songs. Falls ihr es anschauen wollt, ist auf dem Kanal ReacttotheK. 😊)

German, but capable of speaking english fluently and I have literally no problem with your decision doing english streams, but I´ve also seen comments from people, who ain´t german, who said that they would rather like to listen to you speaking german while reading the english subtitles instead of you speaking english, because you can obviously express your thoughts and emotions in your first language better than in your 3rd or 2nd so I´d at least think about switching back, but at the end of the day it your decision, I dont mind you doing either of these :D
