One thing I've noticed about astrology, is that not only does it describe us to ourselves, it also reveals what we experience from others. So in my case, with Rahu in the 1st house, I'm experiencing everyone else telling me what they think is best for me but leading me down blind alleys, and generally, even those with the best of intentions are wrecking my reality in some ways. @@theinterstellarfox1172 It's been really hard for me because most of my planets are in mutable signs and I have 3/4 water in my chart so I'm super emotional and I love everybody and want everyone to have a fair say. Honestly, I ended up having to cut everyone out of my life except for my husband. This includes both of our families too. However, I'm also mostly bedridden with chronic illness and pain but I keep my spirits up for myself which I'm amazed I can even do, but most people don't believe I'm truly doing the best I can every day because I'm light-hearted and still fun. I'm getting worse too and I'm almost 60. I'm still happy and I stay young at heart. I tell myself not to trip on what I can't change. I wish you luck with your journey. I know it isn't easy, but I feel like I'm making the best choices for myself that I can given the situation I'm in and given the way the people are around me.

this hits the nail on its head. i guess its true in both directions. i would guess rahu connects you to the shadow realm (or one of them there are probably many) und thats why things work differently in that respective house and thats where the confusion comes from. My best friend ist also rahu first house with virgo and I feel like we understand each other better in that 1st. house regard, maybe because of this placement. I would guess rahu makes the game of its placement a different one, not necessarily good or bad but it can cause friction with the normal game of that placement.

Rahu makes you intellectual. Kapiel should've talk about this point. It is a gift actually. As I mean you can change yourself to any personality you want in a day or two if your reality changes. I think the self obsession also manifests in the way I only care about one character I'm attracted to in a story and can't stand the part about other characters. I don't understand how other people can enjoy reading a story without obsessing over one character. And it sucks cause I can't enjoy other things. Hi, I just read that headaches and in some migraines are caused by the 3rd Eye. A remedy is placing cottage cheese which is curds on the 3rd Eye area. Mine is in the first house but I am not like that at all really. I was really lost and wanted to understand myself on a deep level and around 2012 I started becoming spiritual and since that choice I have been wonderful and don't really have those issues at all. I've always been spiritually motivated though because I was hugely intuitive as a kid with a lot of gifts and other people didn't interest me I was always kind of a hermit type and like to keep to myself so that gave time for lots of contemplation and going inward. Being it's in 29,59 of Scorpio I'm not sure if that helps as well as my Jupiter and Pluto being in the same sign but in the 12th house. I have a weird chart though altogether. I resonate a lot more with my ketu than my rahu. But I have friends who have these same house placements and they are very much like you describe. All the material in the world is never enough to satisfy them and I watch them make so many questionable decisions that they regret later. I'm glad I'm not that much like that tbh.

OH GOD the personality change is so true. But somehow I embrace that part of me. Being a chameleon worked well for me until about the age of 33, since then it's been backfiring on me and I was baffled until I discovered astrology. I really really hope that I'm nothing like what you describe here. I believe I am using (and have for most of my life) my rahu/ascendant conjuntion to grow as a person body and soul. I work as a healer and and a psychic and has been since I was 30 (now 43) and I have been helping people with their inner soul development since early teens. I really hope I have not done people wrong and that I don't have been missleading them or that I have been lying to them. Rahu conjunct Scorpio ascendent. I related the your description. In addition to being an Aries sun, yes, I’m very self absorbed without realizing it. I realized that not everyone has the abilities that I have and the actions i can take to fix problems, my same actions don't work for other people. I think his examples were more extreme than what we experience. So a lighter one would be, telling a Sagituars if you want to get shit done in your life you should make a lists and stick to them. So true, I literally want to conquer the world and I will be going to do it. I have been evolving at a greater speed to achieve what I want. It's true, I do have multiple personalities and my first house lord is Leo. So sun and Rahu do not blend together. So I created a new being and called it Chinuon and declare chinuon as a from in which sun and Rahu are working together. It's my ultimate form and I always try to be closer to that and evolving that personality so that I can ultimately achieve my goal.

@@mousamupadhyaya8053 chinuon is a character which represents my combine personalities with all the qualities of rahu and leo. i am much more closer to chinuon and did not feel dual personalities and all other stuff. I now work more as a combine force. It has been 2 years so lots of things have evolved. I reached to a level where people always imagine to be and then left it all for higher level of understanding. Rahu people are never satisfied so i currently have a much higher goal set. for this chinuon have to become chinuwon.

You just described NPD (Narcissistic Personality Disorder) to the tee! I was looking for the planetary placement(s) in western astrology that could best indicate either the presence of or propensity for developing NPD but I couldn’t find a lot except Pluto aspects that didn’t give the full picture - NPD of course is a clinical diagnosis but what you are describing seems to fit the description of a Narcissist very closely - has anyone studied the correlation b/w astrological planetary placements and the occurrence of personality disorders & other psychological illnesses?

If you are referring to Rahu in 1 as NPD, it isn't, the teaching in this life is to learn about yourself and that is achieved once you put yourself first. It is more self-preserving/self-resourceful than most. If you are looking for signs for NPD in a person, a person leans towards it if it has BOTH a bad moon and a bad Venus, especially fire Venuses, a strong Aries/Leo in the chart also contributes.

I think Rahu 1st housers can end up looking like we have NPD to other people. I agree with what HARLEYFSBO said. Everyone falls somewhere on the narcissism scale. There is a difference between being narcissistic and having the disorder. With Rahu in the 1st is here to learn to balance over giving and focusing on others(Ketu 7th house) with putting self first. They are also here to learn to think for themselves instead of worrying so much about what others think of them and adjusting themselves to that.

Rahu 1sh house people are supposed to be all about developing ourselves and learning about what we want and how we feel. We're not to concern ourselves with others. We are supposed to do what is considered to be selfish which does not come naturally to us at all and which runs counter to how we are habitually oriented, not to mention, goes completely against how all societies tell us to be, especially us females. That's one reason this is such a difficult placement and can cause us sorrows and difficulties as we age, but it's all about balancing our karma. When we stubbornly (as someone said in a comment above about us) continue to follow our north star, we do end up better off than if we start listening to others and following what what they want from us.

@@divyamadhubala7102 Well, the way I wrote it comes from western astrology, however, vedic astrology tells people with this placement that we ARE selfish which is the same thing because that is how we end up seeming to be in other people's eyes, no matter what we do. I don't believe D9 or D10 make any difference as far as this is concerned. I believe if you have it in any of your charts, then it applies to you. I think quantum physics explains why this is so. Western astrology actually tells us to be selfish because we are the ones who are least likely to and we are far too nice and too forgiving, etc... and we need to balance that out by going in the other direction -- from Cap. to Cancer, from the 7th, to the 1st; for the rest of our lives though. People with some kinds of placements similar to this are only to turn inward for a time and then they get to bring what they've learned to other people. That's not our trip. After 33 or so, we are to become as self-sufficient as possible and stay on our own although we're allowed to marry if we've learned enough about caring for ourselves and putting ourselves first. And we're still supposed to put ourselves first, even if we're married. This is very hard for us to do because of our personality imbalance of bending over backwards too much for other people. Rahu in Cancer, 1st house is a rare placement, btw, so you don't have very many people who are supposed to follow this path in a community at any given time. Isn't it fascinating though, that the global lockdowns started when the North Node for humanity was in Cancer in the 1st house on March 11, 2020? At least I know it was in western astrology.

Hi! My lagna is cancer and it has only Rafu in it. And my 7th house, Capricorn has Ketu and Saturn. sobs... As gemstone remedies, someone recommended Yellow Sappire, Diamond and Crysoberyl Cat's Eye to me. And someone else says Yellow Sappire and Red Coral are good for me. Another says Pearl is the best, or Aquamarine is recommendable (for maybe my Moon is in Aquarius). Amethyst is one of the choices (I think it is related to Saturn). I'm so confused, but it seems Yellow Sappire is not at least bad for me. Diamond? mmm... The biggist question is Crysoberyl Cat's Eye is really good for me.
