Being one of Madanji's biggest fans, I feel his absolute musical genius is that whenever you sing his songs (this or any) in a tempo lower (or higher) than the original, it comes out sounding too disjointed (and the Goddess' magical voice has no part to play in this)!! In my very humble opinion, that's how your rendition sounds today...a little mellow.

Simply soothing !! Can't compare with Lataji. 'Sunya sunya mahfilit mazya' ani he gana Latajini atishay tikshnapane gayalay. Tyancha swar aplya sarva samvedana chirat jato. But in your voice we can listen soft, soothing version of these songs which doesn't makes us restless, feels positively hopeful. Word 'दररपे' you pronounced nicely. Very very beautiful start of song & entire song is just fabulously sung by you.

Bohot saal baad kisine aise rukey rukey dikhaya hai. Kya baat hai. Takes guts. For many years when I was a kid I used to listen to Lata didi and think isme kya badi baat hai, she doesn’t seem to be a classical singer. The classical singers seemed to be putting more efforts on stage. I realised how stupid I was when I grew up started attempting her compositions. She actually blended the entire classical knowledge for the first and probably the last time effortlessly in light music. Many came after her but nobody could blend it like her. I really don’t understand her brain anymore. Maybe only A R Rehman does a little something similar but he’s a composer not a singer so. That reminds me K S Chitra Ma’am has sung kehna ki kya like that. Such a difficult composition. Total blend of classic in film music
