One more important point which I guess you can cover in case of startup exit is that pure internet companies are now going for offline expansion so that they can achieve profitability .For example, Lenskart /TATA 1MG/TATA BigBasket /Nykaa /Mamaearth initially burned money to gain the market share of users & then they moved to offline business for profitability .

The way in which the retail investors in India invested in the new age startups like Zomato, Nykaa, Policybaazar, Paytm, Cartrade clearly shows the level of knowledge reatilers have in India. I have mostly seen people who work in Tech sector fall victim to this scam. Some software engineers I know have put in their whole life savings into these startups and now have also lost their jobs due to recession and are almost bankrupt. Some sold their ancestral property to buy shares of these scam companies thereby making people like Falguni nayar, Deepender goyal etc extremely rich. The startup gang preys on these youngsters to mint money. This should serve as a big lesson for new age investors.
