My friend used to work for Byjus and they had the worst ethics. They would charge students based on their financial situation. They would go visit homes of these students to consult them, that also gave them an opportunity to know what kind of house the live to get an idea of how much money parents could afford and call them relentlessly until they give in and buy their programs.

I want to share my small story, When I was in my teenage. One day Byju's Salesman (Two Girls) contacted my father for an interview to sell their courses when they came to my home and took the interview. In that interview, they asked questions not on my standard level, and I couldn't answer them. After the Interview, They told my father "he is a dumb student, he is not able to do anything in his life". They said this line to sell their courses, but I didn't take their courses. 4 years later, The Shocking thing is, that I am currently at IIT-Delhi.

Same here ..when I was in class 11 ,one boy and one girl contacted me and came to my home for demo purpose..they literally asked shitty questions..means like I was explaining much better than them and I was in beginning of class 11 and they were asking the questions of 12th class modern physics..and they told me that I will be unable to clear mains and boards as well In 2020 I got 93% in boards And today I m studying in NIT uttarakhand..CSE ..

मैंने भी अपने दो बच्चों के लिए byju's कोर्स लिया। दोनों बच्चे एक ही क्लास में होने के कारण एक बच्चे का नाम का फॉर्म भरा और कुल खर्च 65000/- दो साल का बताया 5000/- advance जमा कराया और कुछ पेपर वर्क किया। 15 दिन का फ्री ट्रायल था टेबलेट आने तक। मुझे IIFL से लोन कन्फर्म करने के लिए फोन आया जिसके बारे में मुझे advisor ने नहीं बताया था और मुझे जानकारी हुआ कि एक ही बच्चे के लिए कोर्स है जब मैंने Byju Mentor के नंबर पर बात किया तो बताया गया कि एक ही बच्चे के लिए कोर्स है advisor जो घर आया था उससे बात करने पर उसने कहा कि कुछ confusion हो गया है आपके दोनो बच्चों के लिए है। फिर मुझे लोन के लिए समझाने लगा कि ये Byju कि पॉलिसी है। मैंने कहा कि मुझे लोन नहीं चाहिए मेरे बच्चे जब तक Byju से पढ़ेंगे तब तक मैं Pay करूंगा पर उसने कहा कि पॉलिसी है आपको लोन कन्फर्म करना होगा। फिर मैंने मना किया और अपना advance 5000/- वापस करने के लिए कहा। पैसे वापस करने के नाम पर तो इन्हें बहुत परेशानी हुई मेरे कई मेल, फोन के बाद ये मुझे कोर्स में छुट का ऑफर देने लगे पर मैं अब इन्हें समझ चुका था और consumer कोर्ट में इनके विरुद्ध केस करने का मन बना चुका था जिसके बारे में मेल में स्पष्ट इन्हें मैंने लिखा। उसके बाद टेबलेट आने पर मैंने नहीं लिया और बाद में इनके द्वारा मेरा पैसे वापस किया गया। मैंने उसी समय जान लिया था कि ये एक Fraud company है जो लोगों को बेवकूफ़ बनाता है। इतना लिखने का एक ही कारण है कि कोई इनके चक्कर में ना पड़े।

I remember last year in 2022, Byju's was literally running after us. In my school, they even held a competition, and apparently, I was selected as someone who "won" and got a free tuition class along with another one in my class. I went to the centre, and they gave us a basic class for Science. They even gave a bottle with "Byju's tuition centre" which honestly feels more like a disappointment than an achievement. (And even she was disappointed at such a cheap gift for winning a competition) Ever since than, they have calling like 2-3 times a day. Kept begging my parents to buy a course, but of course, they don't know my parents. They failed to convince them, and left. After that, they CAME TO MY HOUSE, and took tests by asking some really hard questions to me. (Before that they took a MCQ test which I had solved without error). This was their moment, after that extremely basic test, they started asking like class 10 level questions while I was still in class 6. But of course, I had already told my parents, they had agreed to me prior, and refused at any cost to pay for Byju's. Then around a month later, they AGAIN CAME to my house and again tried to convince my parents while praising my skill of programming (which I had decided would be my career). Again of course, I had told my parents before, and they agreed to refuse the offer because we didn't that kind of money to buy the course. Since then, we have been called so many times that I cannot count, but atleast since 2023, they have left us in piece. We were one to refuse because my parents were understandable, but others are often tricked due to their marketing. I am happy they are going down now. Hopefully they either solve their problems/marketing gimmicks or fail miserably.

Byju's really don't give that level of content or teachers which a student needs to crack their exams. Their content is purely in english, which is definitely not the first choice of Indians. Today, almost majority of students prefer to study in hybrid mode, i.e., Hinglish. Next they provide waste type of content at a very high price, which is not at all affordable. I think some platforms like PW only are able to give perfect content at a nominal fees with best teachers having much experience from repured institutes from all over India.
