As a former 400m hurdler in the late 90s early 2000s I remember when running under 49 s was a great ambition and under 48 s was the lofty dream, a hope of getting within a few 10ths of the then world record. Now these guys are running 46s several times a season. It's lovely to see how far the sport has come.

Everyone knows that Benjamin can run super fast times but what is his mentality like at the World Championships/ Olympic finals? He probably has the most sub 47 second times but no gold. It's either Benjamin or Warholm. Out of the top 3 doesn't he have the fastest 400m flat time? It's his mentality in finals that I question as he should had won the W/C in 2022

Warhol faster times. Simple. He ran a world records to beat Benjamin previously. Dos Satos will also be a factor. It also depends on who is healthiest. He has run injured.. which he stated in post race interviews. Benjamin, Warholm... and Samba... have all faced injuries during different years, which is hardest to compete with in an event like long hurdles.

@@user-ty5em5lh6g Benjamin has better flat times. Just because you won before that doesn't mean that you will always win. Look at what happened with Justin Gatlin against Usain Bolt in 2017. With Benjamin, it's a mental not an ability issue.
