As always... quality video Carl! This is a move that is long overdue! Raiders don't retire numbers but they should have players earn them! But it was his overall play skills that got this kid off the team! Flashes here and there were few and far between. Just never seem to get it! He talked about making changes and getting better but I never saw it! Too much bravado from the start and not enough substance from his play. Raiders need players... not talkers!

Our entire D is terrible except maxx so all the other team has to do is take him out of the game and we lose... still gets held A LOT but goes uncalled of course. Jags got that ball out quick, idk why our corners couldnt see that. And Averett was getting tore up... by fckn trevor lawrence and like zay jones

Man I love your posts. They are phenomenal. You do such a great job. I feel better about our releasing Abrams. When he first came to the team I was excited to see how he would play. To have the balls to take number 24. I mean i know we don't retire numbers but dang. I was at the season opener in Oakland when we played the Broncos and it was his first time on the field I believe. He messed up his shoulder that game and was out the whole season. I wish him well. He went from one lousy team to another. Maybe he will take Davante's old locker.

As a student of the game Carl, I applaud you for sharing your astute observation/analysis from the defensive spectrum. It's the reason the Raiders record is what it is today! All comments are to be respected first and foremost. I will say this w/o hesitation to all those who speak of getting rid of Josh McDaniel, Patrick Graham in their first year of coaching. It tells me, it shows you're lacking in your analysis of why the Raiders record is what it is. Zeigler along with Josh McDaniel reputation carries what, 6 plus super bowls during the Tom Brady Era? The road to the AFC championship ran through New England. Zeigler and Josh were part of that solution. It because they drafted players that were capable/able of executing the scheme put in by Josh McDaniel. Now both are with the Raiders. Having viewed what they see/have (in terms of players), the conclusion, the source of why the Raiders record is what it is today because the players are NOT capable, able to effectively execute the scheme that Josh McDaniel head coach envision. Zeigler name was mentioned throughout the NFL circuit as one of the upcoming executives. He is known to have a keen eye on drafting smart, tough, physical talented football players that will allow Josh McDaniel coaching staff to develop them into executing effectively the scheme he once had did with New England Patriots. Beware Raiders and take heed to my analysis or observation. They will not only be playoff contenders but super bowl contenders in the very near future. Much respect to you Carl for sharing your astute observation on the subject matter. One more observation, are you aware no team has clinched a playoff spot in the Raiders division yet? I like his putting a hit on a receiver - but I would prefer an INT. anytime ! I thought he would pan out better than he did. In this league you gotta cover or pick, and arm tackles and standing away from where you were at a few seconds before watching them score is not a help. Good Report Carl ! Man I loved this piece on Abrams. You provided the video evidence and very thoughtful analysis of what was wrong with Abrams the football player. He was a linebacker playing in a safety body. It was from the 1st moment he git the field he was going to have issues playing his position. But was given ample time to grow. But never showed much-needed mental adjustments. He wasn't cut because he was bad. He was cut because the raiders are in full DUMP MODE. Just like the Colts hiring a guy who has never coach. They too are in full dump mode. Next years draft is shaping up to be a good one. The Raiders like Colts realized their season is over. Irsay is no idiot. He isn't skirting the NFL rules, he's using the kinks in them to retool his team. And so are the Raiders. Why is Ferrell still here??
