I know this video is old now, but twice, around 10:30 and 11:30, you could have "returned to a marked path", which puts the card at the top, and then used the second card's value to land on the jewel. I.e. put the 8 on top of the 2, and then count two to capture the A, and again, put one of the 8s on top of the 7, and then count seven to capture the A. ...and in fact I see you do exactly that at 12:20. I love how brains work (or don't) sometimes 😂 Just in case anybody else stumbles across this.

I recently learned about this game and have been playing a lot myself. Great little pocket and travel game.

It's still one of my favorites with just a deck of cards, especially if you're limited on table space

Nice video! I have been playing this game recently and I really enjoy how easy it is to play with minimal space required. I have won about one third of my games. I have learned not to pass the opportunity to mark a path! (My highest score so far is 20, my lowest for a successful run if 14)

Thanks! The minimal table space is a big plus of this game. 20 seems like a great score!

No problem! It is a ton of fun and currently my favorite card game with just a 52 deck of cards

10 plays in and I’m starting to think the same, still haven’t won 😂 though I’ve enjoyed every play.

Update: finally won after 16 tries with a score of 15. Still enjoyed even though apparently luck was not on my side.

What's a trinket card, and how do I know when to put it away

Thank you so much for teaching this game! Let's see if I get this straight: 1- if I get first a 2◇ and then a 6◇. I want to ise the 6◇, even though it's the second card I count the 2◇ as first without switching places?

No problem! This is a really fun one in my opinion. Yes, you always starting counting with the top card of the deck when exploring whether you chose the first or second card's value

What happens if you land on two Aces (face down to face up with look around) -- and you have no notes to help explore?

I believe that would just make you lose, marking your path is important! You can absolutely lose this game on the first turn if you reveal either aces or face cards as your top 2 cards
