Raiders of the Lost Ark is a MASTERPIECE

Maybe it was intentional, maybe not, but I think there’s a clear contrast between Indy teaching his students vs teaching the government agents. During the scene explaining the arc, there’s a passion and energy to Indy breaking down history for the agents that he just doesn’t have in his classroom. He’s definitely more rigid and monotone teaching his students because half of them probably aren’t interested and then other half just wanna bang him lol. These agents need him and he really gets to flex his expertise. And we as the audience are the agents. That scene is so engaging because Indy is captivating us the same way with how well he lays all the exposition out. Brilliant film

Definitely right to note that at 8:40 bc he falters over the word NEOLITHIC in his first scene at Marshall College. I think there is definitely an intentional difference between him being a teacher and, in his spare time, a “grave robber.” Awesome episode!
