It was actually done by a guy who was not a part of the original group, but wanted to support what they were doing. That’s why there is a difference between scenes. Unspooled podcast did an episode about this.

I know that they were trying to be accurate to the script as possible for their shot-for-shot remake, but it would have been hilarious if Chris Strompolos/Indy and Marion/Angela Rodriguez broke character for a moment and acknowledged the sudden transitioning from teens to adults considering the plane fight was shot 25 years later after he and Eric Zala/Belloq filmed their remake. Something like: Indy/Chris: That’s strange. When we were in the Well of Souls, we were still teens, but as soon as we get out, we’re adults. I don’t remember the Well having some magic. Marion/Angela: It certainly does feel strange. My hair’s definitely much longer.

Hey great job - Funny thing is I remember hearing about the adaptation story maybe four years or more ago and as cool as it sounded as well as wanting to check more into it, it just kinda slipped my mind.. and just earlier today I was looking for the cast (wanted to see who played Toht in the original) I stumbled onto wikipedia's adaptation version of the movie jogging my memory and going Oh yeah I remember hearing about this! Had a little bit of time to watch a couple KZbin videos on it - the trailer side by side and then the Vice piece on it .. just happened to pick this one and low n behold the guy who's playing a very convincing recreation of the mechanic! Seriously that's awesome that you got to do this and play a part in the completion of these guys' almost 40 year project (I hope I got that right) that like alot of children of that era (including myself) could have only dreamed of doing - Bravo Sir! To you and all the cast throughout the years/decades!

That was absolutely f** brilliant! So you tube finally allowed it with sound. I did a few indiana jones type movies as a kid, nothing like that though! That was absolutely superb! How the hell did they get the plane! The whole set looks exactly the same! LOL!

I thought it was pretty kick-ass for being built on 25,000 for a full replica plane. I enjoyed working on it. I felt like I was in the original movie. I am proud of the final cut. So some not quite perfect wheels get a pass from me. I got to relive Raiders. Not a lot of people can say that. LOL

​@@sabby64034 I agree completely Rob. I was one of the German soldiers in the scene with you. On our first day on location we were kept away from everyone else until we were fully uniformed, (thanks Lauren) armed with MP-40s and piled into the troop-truck. They drove us onto the set and everyone stopped to see and cheer our entrance. I felt like a little kid again living my favorite movie in real life and I think everyone who saw our grand entrance felt the same way. I grew up about 20 miles away from these guys and remember hearing about their crazy project on WLOX back in the 80s. I wanted to work with them back then but as a high school kid I had no car to drive to Gulfport to join in the fun. I'm glad I finally had the chance to be a part of the project and am amazed how awesome this all came out considering some of the weird problems that happened the week we filmed.

Pat Roach was in all three INDY-movies (There is no part IV, there is only Zuul!)… Roach played a GeStaPo-man in the Zeppelin-scene. He is entering the Zeppelin together with Michael Byrne before the "No ticket"-scene. Most of his material was cut out before the release. An airplane-chase was filmed but it never made it into the final cut.

Some kids in 1982 made a shot for shot recreation of raiders of the lost ark, but never did this scene. Later, in 2014, they went back and did this part.
