Aidan O'Connell is the future in my honest opinion. It amazes me, though, that people had unrealistic expectations for him to perform like a superstar right out of the gate. However, that logic is problematic. First off, he was a rookie playing for a dysfunctional and incompetent Head Coach in Josh McDaniels. Second, he didn't have adequate protection with his sorry O-line. And third, he had an inexperienced play caller in Bo Hardegree…and then sadly, they went to the failure that is Luke Getsy. And last but not least, hiring A.P. as the Head Coach has been a hot mess. I love the guy as a person, but he is too inexperienced, and the man runs his mouth too much: how is he going to go on a podcast and say that the Raiders have the recipe to beat the Chiefs? Andy Reed and Bill Belichick always let their coaching do the talking. Moreover, I'm not saying that Aidan doesn't need competition at the QB position. Competition is always a good thing in any position. It's a must actually. What I'm saying is that Aidan O'Connell has the skill set to be successful in the NFL: he's intelligent; he works hard; he has a strong arm; and he protects the ball. He is not interception prone as other QB’s. Anyway, with the right Quarterbacks Coach and Offensive Coordinator-and I believe the Raiders have found him in Scott Turner-who knows how good Aidan can be in this league. The future looks bright for this young man. I've been saying this since his first year.

Honestly, I think Gannon would make a better head coach than AP. Rich knows better how to manage a game. He's done that again and again as QB. AP would be better staying on the defensive side of things. Game management is not AP's strength, which was made obvious by the fact that he has to talk with other coaches about how to manage a game.

I think AP made the decision to bring in Luke Getsy to appease Devante Adams because of their Green Bay connection. I also believe that Garner Minshew was brought in by Tom Telesco, and AP was influenced by Telesco and others to play him. We all know that AP wanted to start AOC originally. Anyway, all the quarterbacks looked awful in that horrendous offense scheme. That being said, both of these men were at fault for the Raiders failure this year in my opinion.

the Raiders also need to consider getting a short yardage back in there who can move the pile...that is something Gannon also had when he played for the Raiders...it has bitten the Raiders in the butt on crucial plays the last ..5 seasons? Josh Jacobs was ineffective in short yardage...Abdullah isn't going to move the pile...his heart of ten men notwithstanding...
