Nobody's talking about this, but I think dart and nussmaier both might end up better then ward and sanders, and you can get them in the second round.... I'm a draft geek, I play with those mock draft simulators, and the other day I did one. Ward and sanders were gone when I picked at 5... but travis hunter, probably the best football player in the draft, sort of like brock bowers, was available so I took him and then I took jackson dart in the second round. That might not be bad. Derek carr second round , Dac Prescott fourth round, Bryce Young first round, horrible , Anthony Richardson first round. Horrible, Jamarcus russell first round.Horrible. ryan leaf first round horrible. They say, sixty percent of quarterbacks, drafted in the first round fail. Worth looking at.

He was just the backup to Wilson, so when Wilson got healthy, he went back to being the backup. If we got Fields, our QB play in the past few years would make him seem like a mobile prime Tom Brady. Sure he's not a top 5 QB, but he's a hell of an upgrade for us and would actually make us seem competitive again.

I honestly don't even want to draft a qb this year, I understand we need one desperately but our whole offense is a mess. Mediocre/bad oline, bad receiving core, no running game at all, and one tight end, any qb we draft will just look terrible and we will say he's a bust. We NEED a year of just filling holes in our absolutely garbage offense including OC and potentially HC. QB is the most important position but if there is literally no supporting weapons, run game, or offensive line then it doesn't matter since your putting the cart before the horse. Plus this is a pretty mid QB class, even if sanders or ward pop off they wont do it as a raider and even if they do it just makes drafting harder since the raiders csnt draft in the mid 1st round to save their life, almost a whole decade of wasted #9-18 1st round picks. Take a CB, a tackle, a DT, a Wr in round one and hope some talent slips like gibbs to the lions a few years ago since we have no run game.

I'm not sold any QB in college right now is going to come into the NFL and right away make a splash the way Daniels and CJ have. Maybe Ward. Maybe. The rest, Shedeur, Beck, Ewers, Milroe, they all look like guys who will need to develop. Some may pan out, some may not. Shedeur has talent, but I worry about him being a distraction and bringing a spotlight the Raiders absolutely do not need. The Raiders need discipline, and self-focus. They do not need more hype and buzz. The whole notion that the Raiders "will find their guy" in the draft doesn't fit into history and is rooted in media and fan wishful thinking. All one has to do is look back in history. 70% of all QBs taken in the first round don't get signed past their rookie contract. For every CJ Stroud, you have guys like Mitch Trubisky, Zach Wilson, Tre Lance, Carson Wentz, or...JaMarcus Russell. Anyone can look this up. But instead most prefer to remain irrationally optimistic and assume a QB that carves up weak NCAA defenses will do the same in the NFL.

Raiders will need to trade up to get the one and two picks for the one and two top QBs. So I agree with Mitch. Depending on where we land trade up for Ward or Sanders. If that’s an option, trade back a few spots and draft Ashton Jeanty, Boise RB. He will be a threat every time he gets the ball. That will open up for more opportunities for pass completions. I believe he will be a game changer. Then grab a QB in the 2nd even if we have to trade up a few spots. If not grab the top OL available and use some of that capital to sign our Def who’s contracts are expiring, and fill holes with draft picks/ free agency……Raider Nation baby!!
