I would love to see an update to this with the B1 Mesh vs Chopin Max with a 5700G! Thank you for the great content.

After searching everywhere for cases, I've decided to buy two large aluminum baking pans and make my own case. I'll miss the USB front ports but that's what 6-10ft usb cables are for.

I appreciate the build process. I bought this a while back and have always been confused on why there was a ground cable. Thanks a bunch.

I recently did a mini itx build with the chopin pro and a 5700G. I’m really liking it. Plus if you have a 3D printer, or a friend, you can 3D print a duct+2 40mm fan adapter which really helps with the cooling making it significantly better.

I have the inwin B1 case and it comes with a small fan that is initially set to exhaust but if you flip it over and make it an intake fan it will make a world of difference cooling your VRMs

I have a Ryzen 5 5600G build in an InWin Chopin case, and I am very happy with it. I'm thinking of making it my replacement home server box. I would just have to move all of my NAS storage elsewhere.

There's a Chopin MAX with USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 Type-C on the front panel as well as existing ports and 54mm fan since they expanded the side slightly. Thinking to try that with the 7600, though it's not technically supported.

I prefer the BQ656 over the Chopin. Same case essentially but with less stylish exterior, plus that tray in the bottom can be used for what it is deigned for, as in a slim optical drive. Its a lot cheaper as well, though from my experience it only has up to the 150W PSU unlike the 200W in the B1 and newer Chopin, but it runs my 5700G with no issues and with my slim BD drive, it is a great all round HTPC and with the same footprint plus the option to use it both vertically and horizontally or be mounted on the back of the the TV using the vesa mount. I have a B1 mesh top coming in preparation for the new AMD APUs, but I may just end up swapping out the PSU and putting the 200W in the BQ656.

Thanks for the detailed video! New subscriber here 😊. Chopin is tiny but the interior design and limitations of a max 42mm fan are not so cool! Still nice overall, B1 white edition is the one I’ll probably get! Want to use IGPU with a Ryzen 5 7600 or 5600G I’ll see how my budget works. I built a “small” busget friendly pc using a Termaltake core V1 white, and that little case can pack a lot in there and look clean! $60 bucks and throw a modular psu and it will make it look better specially getting rid of the 2.5 and 3.5 ssd(hdd) brackets!

If you rotated the 80mm fan to be an Intake fan and placed the case horizontally that might improve temps.

I got the Inwin. I'm wondering if there's a way to install a 3.5'' seagate HDD . Some people say on the forums that HDD upto a height of 20mm is possible. Can you please tell, if its possible?

Bought a B1 for a 5700G media center build, everything great, turning great, 120W cooler, great! All finished. . .but, flipped it over to put in the two 5TB HDDs that I needed for the media center part. . .instantly heard that game show music they play for losers in my head. . .15mm 2.5" 5TB HDDs impossible. Finally saw that acutal spec of 9.5mm on Inwin's web site (not on the NZ computer site I bought it from). However, the Chopin max hight spec is not shown. Servel weeks, no response form Inwin. Soooooo.. . how thick of a HDD can you put in the Chopin?

Would removing the PSU in the Chopin improve the build experience? I imagine it would seeing as how that extra space would've helped when sliding in the motherboard.

I wonder how much quieter the B1 would be, with the same size Noctua case fan?

@@RaidOwl I'm looking at building in a B1 for an HTPC. A Noctua case fan, the same size that In Win used, is inexpensive enough to use for noise reduction and I may not need as much cooling, so I can also try Noctua's speed reducer with it. Same thing with a Noctua CPU cooler. Under $90 for a nice case with with a hopefully quiet power supply, is worth trying to make work for me.

Unfortunately Noctua does not have an 80x15mm fan yet. I heard it is under development but their 80x25mm fan that is available now wouldn't fit the B1 :(
