Rail Observations of Phoenix, Arizona (November 2018)

Various recordings of Phoenix's light rail service across the metropolitan area.
December 27, 2018 will mark the 10th anniversary of the passenger rail service in the Phoenix-Maricopa county metropolitan area.
Daily ridership measures up to ~50,000 boardings with ridership only to increase majorly as expansion into east Mesa and an entirely new west alignment are in the future plans.
Also coming to the rail network in 2021 is the Tempe Streetcar (as reference in the video) that will circle the downtown district of Tempe and Arizona State University campus linking to the main line at Veterans Way (Sun Devil Stadium) and Rural Road stations.

I like it a lot. More than the service here in Baltimore... and I provide it! Besides the constant expansion and vastness of everything in Maricopa county, Valley Metro and the cooperation between each town/city still manages to provide convenient service to this region of Arizona.

@@MJofLakelandX honestly Toronto needs to step their game up with their service....besides that I enjoyed Mesa and Scottsdale a lot ...Flagstaff not so bad either ...Arizona like a hidden gem lol..people need to stop hating ..it's a sight to see

Woo hoo! Welcome to Arizona. I think our train is one of the best because of how it connects to the buses. I just hate how HOT it is, can’t wait for winter time here! It’s just beautiful!

Unless I get priority -- which is a bit too much work to do -- unlikely. I prefer just recording from a passenger's perspective and go do the next thing. Plus, I don't live in Arizona.

I'm moving to Phoenix soon,so I'm watching videos to get a sense of things before I move out there..I was wondering about their public transportation because here in WV the public transportation system is horrid and very undependable..I've never ridden a light rail so that looks interesting

You'll love Phoenix. It's like a second home to me. Transportation is among one of the best in the country and their rail system is continuously expanding with the Tempe Streetcar adding to the network. PHX is vast and covers a HUGE distance but public transport fills the gaps.
