Superb video as always Nigel. I've cycled past the signal box at Stixwold a few times and have always thought that it was the most tranquil place on earth. I never knew about the Spa trail though. I've always turned round at Woodhall Spa and headed back to Lincoln. That might change, specially after the wife saw the shoe shop.

That's a lovely walk Nigel, in fact I've been down at Stixwould today and got some lovely photos. I do admire the owners of Woodhall Spa Station for the effort they have gone to in keeping it in such good condition, it's a beauty. When we first moved here in 1995 I used to run along the old railway line before it became a cycle path, I have to say the surface was far more forgiving on the joints than the concrete surface is now. Whereabouts is the gate @15:50 and the clock @16:05? Cheers.

Hi Seamus, yes lovely walk and the owners at Woodhall do deserve praise for keeping the junction in wonderful condition, yes i prefer the spa trail surface than the tarmac, the gate is at the woodhall station house as i walked towards woodhall it was on my right at the edge of the property, the clock was on a house close to Woodhall cottage museum entrance, yes seen your photos on facebook, all the best nigel

Hey mate, great trail, so is the woodhall junction somebody’s house now?? What a great place to live . The sculptures was nice to see, and yes the best part of railway walks are they’re nice and flat, we’ve only done the Keswick to Threkeld walk but it was awsome !! Sure was a great day out mate, sounded a bit windy but we don’t mind that do we … catch you on the next one pal 🚂 🥾❤️ You can’t beat an old railway bridge and so much history going back to 1859..
