I have been using the ctug cart so long that I am not sure when I bought it . Sometime between 3-5 years . Best cart I have ever had . It fits my lure like a glove . I even used it to move a porch that was 600 plus pounds . I have had some other carts in the last 20 plus years , but none I liked as much as I have liked the ctug . It stays nice and tight to the lure . Lots of the places I go is over rocks and small logs . It stays right where I strap it .

I absolutely hated mine as it came new. I changed the wheels for pneumatic and still hated it. Then I fitted the Railblaza conversion and found myself with a superb trolley. Everything the trolley should have been from new. Except the stand which still remain crap.

I have the old 1 gen version (plastic buckles) of this newer version and ive never had any problems my kayak is about 90 loaded and i walk it anywhere i need to

I've got the C-Tug and the Wilderness Systems hd cart. Both have their place. I'd use the C-Tug on flatter hull shapes and use the Wilderness Systems on more pronounced hulls. It definitely fits my Crescent Crew better than the C-Tug.

I actually REALLY struggled with this cart. I found that if you use it for any distance or across more rough terrain, the straps quickly loosen (no matter how tight you cinched them up) and the cart becomes extremely unstable. The only way I could kind of make it work was to pull the straps through scupper holes to keep them from sliding backwards and making everything loose. This might be an ok cart for very short distances on smooth surfaces, but for anything else it is pretty bad.

What about using two straps? I’m planning on picking up a c tug and I have to go about 1.5 miles down a railroad track and on sandy old dirt bike trails to get to my favorite fishing spot. I figure no matter what cart I end up with I would want to do two straps, both pulling tight to the cart one pulling forward and one back. Also don’t want air tires due to briars and flats.

The C-Tug looks good, but since it is all plastic, what is the long term durability? Also, I like the sand tires that are an option. Keeep up the good work!

Its is built durable. I moved a 600 lb porch with it and no problems. I have used it with my lure for atleast 3 years . It fits like a glove .

It’s not good for wider keeled fishing kayaks….too narrow…..I added a plank to make my ascend kayak fit. I liked the cart so much otherwise…just did a little modification

No. It’s not easy to stand, I don’t have the higher seat. But I really the like way this kayak paddles. If you have to paddle upstream this is an amazing kayak. I can stand and fish yes. I’m 6’0 and 200 lbs.
