Very beautiful ride. I have watched some winter cabrides now and I was looking for a summer ride Ål-Bergen. I found this one. Nice sideview: seeing the EL18 locomotive in the sides of the carriages of the other train. There are plenty of nice and beautiful sideviews during this trip. I mention here: Finse and surroundings; the setting sun in the mountains and when arriving in Bergen. Before that, there are beautiful shots of Sørfjorden between Stanghelle and Trengereid. Also: nice downward view at 1h20m30s: the Flåmsbana. These are just a few of the wonderful ride. Now, I have to find a summer or autumn ride in the opposite direction. You are privileged, to ride in such a beautiful part of your country. But there can also be "nightmare conditions'. I look forward to watch more videos of your working area. 🙂🙂😉 stay safe and sound, RCG!!

Nice summer sunny afternoon trip! There are some eastbound trains to meet us @: 10:50 Hol (El18 with yellow passenger train in the small window); 40:12 Haugastol (passing Et57 Unit nonstop); 51:50 Tunga (freight with El ??); 2:02:00 Voss (freight with El14) 2157; 2:59:40 Arna (Et57 Unit). p. s.: Good Video, but for me the sideviews were a little too many & some of them little too long.
@mathewrussell15335 жыл бұрын
The EL18 seem like absolute rock solid machines. For a 20 year old loco that must get worked absolutely to death it still seems extremely quiet and reliable. especially in the harsh winter conditions you have there. Do you have many faults these days or do they just keep going and going.
@knobacres4 жыл бұрын
I can see the diamond shaped signs that indicate where you are supposed to sound the horn. What I haven't figured out is why, at any point, why the horn needs to be sounded. There doesn't seem to be any consistent reason like approaching a road crossing, station, bridge or tunnel.

Any idea What the yellow triangles with numbers in them some times 5 up to 10 so far have seen? Can't make any sense of them.
@RailCowGirl2 жыл бұрын
They’re speed signs. Pointing up = increased line speed Pointing down = warning of reduced line speed ahead (this is followed with a small triangle pointing down, indicating where the speed limit must be enforced) Numbers: 9 = 90km/h 10 = 100 13 = 130 16 = 160
