Railfanning Conneaut Ohio 8/13/16 SD80MACS, Crew Changes, SD60s

We at AD Productions proudly present to you our findings at Conneaut Ohio. We Caught some unusual things during our visit. we will minly see mostly Norfolk Southern but we will also see some CSX and Bessemer and Lake Erie (NOW CN)

I just shot that SD70M leader #2586 two days ago on Monday here coming through Scranton, Pa!... It was second out (BNSF #8003 leading) on Train 11Z from Binghamton, NY to Enola.... Good video, love the narration.

Thanks for the feedback! That was neat you saw that loco. Also nice catch with the BNSF. I shot this Saturday so you saw the locomotive 2 days after Me. It makes sense because it was heading East toward New York.

You sure are right about that! I loved it so much I am going back next week. Also, do you have any tips for chasing the BLE from Conneaut to Albion PA? I missed it last time because they left during an NS train so I did not hear it on my radio I have never chased a Bessemer And Lake Erie out of Conneaut ever. I have only chased from Albion to Greenville.

Well I use Old Main road a lot. they usually sit there for 15-30 minutes. Also, like at 5:16, you should check that a lot. If they are not there got to the place at 6:10 in your video via Old Main Road. I have a video on my channel of a road called Furnace Road which is a good spot, and also there is a road called Pond Road. Pond Road is VERY far away from the main road but you can see very far down the line in both directions so it is a very good spot. I don't remember much more from there, If you don't know where these roads are you should use google earth. Funny thing is that I only chase it from Conneaut to Albion. Happy Chasing!

Thanks. Sometime you should try to chase it to Greenville. It is very easy. You just take route 18 from Albion and 18 parallels the tracks all the way to Greenville. If you stay on 18 you will be good. What roads should I take from Pond road to Albion?What's a good location in Albion? I have only gotten a train from the 18 crossing Also how fast should we drive? My mom will be driving and she does not like to go over the speed limit.

Well don't stay on Pond Road. As soon as the train passes head back to Route 20. Then take 6N to Albion. You Can also take Old Albion road but if you want to stay with the train you have to go above the speed limit. If you are going to use this make sure you check google maps first. I don't live up there so I may have messed up. If you are on Facebook you should try and join, "Bessemer Subdivision" Happy Chasing!

Its a brake stick. Most yard on the NS you can't climb on the cars anymore.

Which was leading? I am trying to chase a train South next week so I am hoping that 905 or 867 will be on it. Also, has the 5422 been leading the southbound ore trains? It was in that direction when I saw it in the yard.

+Railfan Owen You’re best bet is to get to Greenville at 5-5:30 in the morning and wait to see what they do. The frequency is 160.830. Then, follow the train wherever it goes (Normally North to Conneaut). The daily ore passes Grove City (Southbound) in the later afternoon or evening. It passes Northbound around dusk.
