This is a video of railfanning La Plata, Missouri on the BNSF Marceline Subdivision. This subdivision runs through the rural countryside of Northeast Missouri which consists of hills, woods, farms, pastures, lakes, rivers, and more. Max track speed for freight trains through La Plata, Missouri is 70 mph. Max track speed for Amtrak through La Plata, Missouri is 85 mph but it stops at the station so it does not go that fast. This location is at approximately Milepost 312.7 and the La Plata Crossovers just west of where I was filming is at approximately Milepost 313.2.
