Update: These crossings are now considered private again and trains must use their horns while passing through. The Waysides are still active.

Thanks ! Yeah, it's a bummer that the horns are gone. I knew the city had some legal issues regarding the quiet zone at the time this video was made but I had no idea that they continued to push for a QZ. I was surprised to hear it became a QZ earlier this year.

Yep. It's currently being leased by Metrolink for service while their own Locomotives are being upgraded for the PTC.

+AntonioRailfanning2182 Yes, mainly BNSF freights and autoracks. They are usually more frequent late at night when passenger traffic is low but they have been seen operating during the day from time to time. This area is part of BNSF's San Diego Subdivision.
