I always thought of it as along the same line as Steely Dan

That's the shared mainline between Portland and Seattle north into Vancouver Canada that's co-owned by the UP and the BNSF that sees over 70 trains in a typical day through here. The bottleneck is at the Nelson Bennett tunnel (about a mile south of where they shot this) that goes deep under Tacoma's north end being built long ago is only a single track through there. They've looked at expanding that numerous times but being the mainline they couldn't ever close it for months probably because it can't be closed at all. Anyway with the single trackage there's a lot of trains moving a lot of freight in this spot. Passengers get the new way out of South Tacoma but since the commuter train accident that killed 3 passengers on it's very first run they've said that freight trains won't be sharing that trackage though they're working on alternate routes to where they could fix (widen) that tunnel. But they have some real challenges to overcome before they can do that. Excellent video!!

Fife is actually east of downtown Tacoma and Ruston is north of Tacoma's north end ending in Point Defiance Park. I retired from the City of Tacoma so I know which way is which...Look at a map and you will too.
