Well, here it is. Two years of hitting the road and filming bells have led to this compilation. Just two years earlier, my old compilation only featured 10 models of bells. Now, it features 28. Enjoy this new compilation of all the bells I have filmed!

Those slights are called RSI LEDs. It’s rare to see with a RSI E Bell The lights are common though

I've never seen those last two e-bells before. I do remember stumbling upon a video of an industrial crossing in the US that had an e-bell that sounded like an ambulance siren, but now I can't find it anymore.

Awesome! This is the perfect crossing bell compilation. My favorite has to be 1:07 for mechanical bells and 2:53 for e-bells. Also, an interesting mention, I actually own a WCH 2nd gen mechanical bell. I'll hopefully make a video about it sometime in the future when I have time to think about how to show it off.

I’m a singer and I’ve noticed that many of these are very close in pitch. Is there a standard pitch (note) that crossing bells are supposed to be? I would imagine a study has been done to determine the note most likely to be heard by the widest cross-section of the population? These seem to range from A4 (440 Hz) to C#5 (554.37 Hz).

The tone of a General Signals Type 2 Bell would be considered the universal pitch of a railroad crossing bell, and most other bells use a tone similar to it.

They're designed now to be easily heard from inside a Car, which involves a specific frequency so they don't have to be dangerously loud.

The low pitch Safetran Type 3 is in Hammond, LA at Charles St, the RSI E-Bells are at Liberty St in Mercedes, TX, and the Type 1 is in Bremond, TX.
