have you ever noticed how on camera, the LEDS fade? it's not necessarily the camera. L.E.D.'s use a gas[if I recall correctly, red L.E.D.'s use Galladium-arsenide] that illuminates when electric[DC] current flows through it, and since it's not heat, like tungsten when current [usually 120VAC] flows through it and illuminates an incandescent bulb. The L.E.D., which is most often low current DC [battery] voltage, the gas tends to allow the L.E.D. to turn off/on faster than we can perceive it, a camera can perceive this, however the human eye can not. And that's why the L.E.D. based crossing signals via camera video playback will go off, fade out and fade on/off randomly when the video is watched. More expensive cameras have settings, or better electronics to prevent this, however, even the most expensive cell phones with cameras will catch this issue with L.E.D. based signals. It's something to do with how the current ignites the gas in the L.E.D. that creates this effect, but we'd never see it in person, again, because this happens in such a way we only see the L.E.D. as ON or OFF, but not the in-between off/on durations that happen so fast only a camera can catch the process as it happens. Creating the odd crossing lighting patterns seen in the video. This isn't the best technical explaination, just trying to explain it where most anyone can get an idea why this happens, and that the signal IS NOT malfuntioning. This is why L E.D.'s are more energy efficient, as well as being colder to the touch than any incandescent light bulb.

Please put the fading l.e.d. lights on gateless crossings with mechanical crossing bells instead of on gated crossings, the crossings with gates need the lights to be seen even late at night as well as in the daytime.
