Last Sunday, I went to the Rails along the Mohawks train show at the riverfront center in Amsterdam, NY. It was a lot of fun and I got some cool stuff.

@@davidstrainsandlego Ebay is hit amd miss plus you pay shipping and then there are those charging ridiculous shipping costs. I saw one yesterday wanting $100 shipping. Gotta watch for that. We have a lot of shows in our area one where I set up a table myself, runs every 3 months. Good luck in the hunt!

You are going to love your Turbine. I own several of them. They are great pullers, and very easy to service. Good buy.

I've only had time to run it a little, but I already love it. It's definitely gonna look good pulling some contemporary rolling stock.

Those 681s are great runners. Later if you have issues with that e unit drum replacements are pretty cheap and it’s not all too terrible to replace. The first time or 2 is rather rough but after one gets the hang of making several pieces to line up to snap it back together it’s not all that hard. I have bought several commonly worn out/missing parts for the junkers I like to rebuild and have a couple already rebuilt e units handy for swapping out if I don’t want to take the time to rebuild/repair one at that time. Looks like it was a great show! Enjoy your new acquisitions!!!

Have you thought about trying to locate a spare E-Unit for your turbine just in case?

My makeshift repair works for now, but I'll probably pick up a new e unit at some point
