Good presentation. Multiple DBs is an amazing new feature for Rails. How ever there is no user authentication and authorisation in rails core? There is no token authentication in API mode? Yet there is a place for "Action Text" in rails core 6.0 (sic!)! C'mon!

Less about being scalable, more about having proper multi-database support. Phoenix/Elixir is scalable in the way that people think about what "scalable" means.

But does your application need that kind of scale at the moment - is the real question. I never heard a company failing because they couldn't scale their tech stack.

I read about business case of a company managing buying banner ads, the whole transaction (2 roundtrips to ads provider, e.g. facebook, google ads, etc.) had to be in 200ms, otherwise you would lose the bidding and ads provider would cut your rating, so they had to use erlang to have fast and consistent response times

Phoenix has done all this for years. Yawn. Rails is dead - all the talent left long ago.
