A couple of tips: - to pause the game press the spacebar; press the space bar again to resume at the speed before the pause; - to leave a town with an empty train select Number of wagons Min. 0 and Max. 0 instead of deselecting all goods. If Max. is 8 click on the right arrow button, and it will wrap around to 0.

When you extend a station to four platforms, the two extra lines you build do not have to cross the first two. They need to be long enough to form a four-line gridiron. No train will ever use the 2 extra lines because they are not part of the shortest path. They will only use the platforms in the station. The gridiron helps guide them to any free platform. To get a better understanding of how the warehouse system works in RE2, I suggest you watch Adekyn's RE2 Fundamentals series.

Thank you for the suggestions .. I understand the gridirons ... will keep what you say in mind .. I did watch Adekyn's fundamentals .. and I thought I understood. Just doesn't quite work like I expect, though .. maybe I need to rewatch it. Thanks for the comments and for watching.
