Would be great if these track slabs are manufactured using Ultra High Performance Firbre Reinforced Concrete (UHPFRC). Already there are a number of Dura plants in India besides massive research happening in the IITs on this new wonder material. Once we start producing UHPFRC on a mass scale, the cost is bound to come down almost equivalent to conventional concrete, if you considered whole of life costs.
