Railway of Nowhere - Alfie's Unforgettable Performance (13+)

Greetings friends,
Alfred is a rather interesting sort. It's fair to say that his past has soured him greatly, but I'm sure you'll agree that he's seen sense over time. The other engines are fond of him (even if one in particular refuses to admit it!), and it seems like you all are too.
For the second anniversary of this series, it felt only right to focus on an engine who greatly impacted this channel. Alfred's first few stories were released two years ago, I can't believe it!
Fortunately for me, Alfred so happened to get into an interesting situation recently, so I've taken my chance to focus on him.
Thank you all so much for these past two years, a lot has changed in that time and I'm ever so grateful for the support. I know it has been quite some time since my last video (the last episode was about Christmas...), but life has been busy and I'm afraid I haven't been feeling especially well.
I hope this makes up for it.

A pretty sweet story, Alfred’s banter with Evelyn and his gradual development into a better engine was pretty fun to see. Now we’ll just have to see what Johnson wants with that boiler (which might be Pug’s)

Johnson was just about to leave Crovans Gate when an engines whistle blew from behind. They started off in a panic, Henry spotted this and gave chase, his goods train swaying behind him. The big green engine quickly caught up to Johnson and overtook him, before crossing over the points infront of them. They braked hard and stopped, Henry was just about to start interrogate them only to say something in shock. “Johnson? Is that you?” - Spoiler alert if this comment predicts the future, I just kinda felt board and wrote this on the top of mah head.

This is a shining example of how BRILLIANT your writing and presentation style is! I've felt this for a while now -- but this episode only reinforces it -- that you KNOW your characters and how to write for them, leading to an extremely entertaining experience. The plot itself is simple, but the build-up is so great. The concept of Stopping Charter Trains is something so noble and it fits the "Little Line of Nowhere" perfectly. CONGRATULATIONS on 2 years! Here's to 2 more and hopefully a couple more 2's after that! Your videos are always such a treat!

Gotta say, out of all the possible plans 87546 could have, resurrecting vengeful spirits and incarnating them in new frames isn't what I expected... but it's definitely thematic. If Alfred is "future," growing and developing and bettering himself over time, and 87546 is "past," constantly trying to recapture glory that he sees others as having taken from him, this is just another development on that. The grudges of the past forged into newer, darker iron. And Johnson, as always, is Present--but as a constant struggle, not in the way that Evelyn manages to turn it into a badge of pride. Neither future nor past have much allure for it. All it can do is react to the present moment--or freeze, stuck inside of it.

Thank you for doing something fresh with Alfred instead of the villain trope we've seen countless of times. After two years of showing growth and trying to be better than he was before it feels all the more satisfying that Alfred gets to really shine here. This was a great video to watch!
