You can make it slightly more realistic by removing all those powered rails, and also replacing the minecart with actual trains using the Little Logistics mod. And optionally then you can also replace the minecart in the item frame of the railroad crossing with a locomotive from little logistics mod.

I’ve built one similar to that but my redstone in it is different and you need less redstone

There are many ways of reaching the same ends in Minecraft. when I build things, I tend to try and make them server friendly so that means a lot of piston shoving blocks around to cut off and connect Redstone signals. Unfortunately, leg between the server and the player tends to make things not always work in Java and and even worse in bedrock where everything is based on time and not a count coming from the server

I'm still at the part where I still got to connect the whole machine to the track when I was trying to connect the Redstone to the train tracks but it doesn't really work so I'm trying my best to get it fixed and also great work on this and I also enjoy the built really it was fun

First, thank you for enjoying my build! Second, double check all your repeaters to make sure signal is making it from the detector rail to the guts of the machine. If that isn't doesn't get it going, maybe shorten number of blocks between the detector rails that turns it on and the one switch. A common issue with the design is the number of chunks that the game gives you varies based on the server and the verson of the game you are on. I hope you figure it out and good luck! =D

Do you have a schematic of this? I'm very much stuck with the redstone connecting the lamp / notebox to the sticky pistons. Where you say oops, I don't know how to properly connect the dust to the pistons.

Sorry for the late reply. Unfortunately, I do not have a schematic as I made this before I realized that is something I should do. the Sticky Pistons and the lights are on two different sub systems that are activated at different places on the incoming red stone signal from the minecart. If you look at 8:18 , You see the lights are turned on at the far end and then the signal goes through the eight repeaters to his the sticky piston switch for the gates.

It should! It's not using any java tricks to do it's thing. You may have to adjust how many blocks out the on switch detector is depending on how many chucks out the simulation distance is.

You should be able to. I did it Java edition. You may have to shorten up the length of the activation detector rail depending on your chunk render distance. If it doesn't work, shorten it by 16 or so blocks till it does.

It was the part with the 8 repeaters, it will not bring the signal to the gates! Also I do play on Xbox so..... does that change anything?

@@kimberleykultala1396 Okay, so the eight repeaters signal should end up at a piston that shunts a redstone block over to a place word that can go up to the gate pistons. Put a redstone torch at the far end of the temporarily to power them up. then go along the line and see where it's supposed to be powering something and doesn't. If you can let me know where the the point of failure is I can probably help a little bit more there.

The point of failure is where the control switch sends a signal to the gates to lift up but it will not send a signal to the gates

Okay. Sounds like your version of Minecraft might not let torch towers happen. You can just take the signal from the redstone block and have it "walk" up a stair line of blocks. Other things to check is to make sure that none of your redstone dust lines are long then 15 blocks long without a repeater as that makes the signal dissipate.
