I appreciate your comment. I happened to see the old Southern Electric unts at Wymondham while cycling round East Anglia, staying at youth hostels.

Personally I do prefer music, so long as not too intrusive. You pick well, I think. Either way, the photographs are wonderful, thank you so much for sharing. And Merry Xmas !

Norfolk is one of my favourite places to see railway action. Getting onto a train and watching the scenery pass you as your train runs through it.

Norfolk is one of my favourite places to go for a train ride. It’s one of those places with massive skies, deep seas and slow, unhurried railways. I love it.

That's a lovely comment, thanks. I have just returned home from a few days at Reedham Ferry and I couldn't agree more. Staying at the Cockatrice B&B I had such a relaxing few days....

Since you posted that comment, I have also done a film about the Wherry Lines, which I think you will enjoy. kzbin.info/www/bejne/pHqygpdvjM95h5Y

Have just found your channel. The photos you posted have brought back some happy memories. The boat train at Elf being one. Use to see it every day till it stopped running around 1987 or 8.

Thanks for your comment. The Harwich boat train had an interesting past before it demised, starting variously from Manchester or Glasgow even, via the ECML. I remember hearing an over-zealous train announcer at York telling everyone we could change at Harwich for "Dusseldorf, Dortmund, Koln, and Bonn" as if it were an every-day thing. I also recall once leaving home in Harrogate with the intention of catching it at Sheffield, only to find that I got marooned in Sheffield as the Boat Train (coming from Manchester) had got stuck in a snowdrift at a tunnel. That was around 1975 or 6 I think. If you like my channel please subscribe, that helps me build it. Thanks.

@@Clivestravelandtrains The Harwich Boat Train ran from Manchester Piccadilly in the 60s usually an Eastern Region EE Type 3 (Class 37) but earlier, in the 50s, was known as the Continental and ran from Liverpool Central, via Manchester, behind a Stanier 2-6-4 tank, changing locos at Guide Bridge for an electric 76 and changed again at Sheffield Victoria for steam or diesel. It was never quite as exotic as it sounded, not quite in the Orient Express league, but in the mid sixties was a busy service.

@@1951GL Thanks for that comment, I didn't know it once started from Liverpool Central. I hope you find something else of interest on my channel!

Semaphores, rail blue. Wonderful. A pity that, even then, the M&GN was but a distant memory.

Thanks for that comment. I think I was lucky to have spent childhood holidays with my mum's family in Lowestoft.

Happy Christmas! Since you asked for comments on 'soundtracks' for your videos, let me ask you a question: You're the artist, do you like music with the videos you produce? That is what I think is important. Cheers!

Yes I do, and thanks for the insight. Made me think!

Wonderful nostalgia thank you. Merry Christmas too! The music - or lack of it? Either way is fine by me. Some YT channels go overboard with music and if listening in same room as others, with headphones? And adverts are included at higher volumes? Painful! I'm trying to ponder what would suit your photos, something low key, low volume, classical?

Thanks for the comment - I'm still experimenting. I have just returned home from a few days in East Anglia and will be posting a couple more films in the next 2 or 3 weeks. Subscribe if you'd like to see them.
