In my 30 plus years of surfing, I can only think of one time when the waves were so perfect that catching and riding them was almost effortless. After a couple of hours catching wave after wave I was so tired that I could barely paddle back to the line-up. When I got there I'd be secretly hoping for lull to catch a rest but another perfect wave would come through and I'd be on it. It's usually quite challenging to surf when you're that tired but perfect waves make it so much easier. That was a day I'll never forget.

I just love this so much. I'm from Florida and I tried to surfboard at Daytona Beach and I tied the Rope to my ankle fell off of the board and was drugged all the way to shore underwater thought I was going to drown

I think it’s great to perfect your turns and barrel riding. But if your a beginner your better off learning in the ocean. Lineups, getting caught inside, current, getting into position, are all things you can’t learn at a wave pool. Just my opinion. If your used to just sitting in a pool having a perfect wave come right to you everytime there’s zero chance you’ll go out in a lineup and get any waves.
