Hello Rory, Plenty of rain, but a Cork man would know all about rain!! The clouds roll in off the Atlantic and the rain drops the other side of the Derrynasaggart Mountains .!! Thanks for explaining the rest regs re shunting...makes for unecessary complications.. and no parking at ports is scandalous..Safe driving.. and calmer seas!! All the best...

Remembrance Day marks the end of fighting on the Western Front on November 11, 1918. At the time, the anniversary was known as Armistice Day. The name was changed to Remembrance Day after World War II ended in 1945. The red poppy has been a symbol of remembrance and hope since World War I. In the barren, muddy battlefields of Western Europe, the bright red flowers grew in their thousands. Enjoyed the video, particularly the on road vision in France through the villages and back roads. As I understand your explanation the 'shunting' is the actual boarding and disembarking from the ferry - the hour you quote, what happens if this is exceeded? Can hardly say to the ferry master "gotta stop everything 'cause my clock just ran out".

Yes I knew the poppy was for the fallen soldiers but couldn't think was it associated with a certain day or not As for going over the "hour" it's the same as going over your time at any other part of the day

I thought you only had to compensate the time you used on a ferry movement and not the complete hour so if it took 30 mins embarking and disembarking you just added that time to a 11 hour break making a total split rest of 11.5 hours
