Why don't you sell just the insert? Every single one of the heads that have stopped spinning were due to the insert while the sleeve is in perfect shape. Waste of time, money and way too much plastic. I currently have 8 empty sleeves. Should be able to get them for $12, not $21.

When I was a kid and lived in California a lot of my neighbors had Rain Bird sprinklers in their yards. They were the above ground brass ones. One guy had individual water valves on each one so he could water just one area of his yard and not have to use the whole system to do so. Anyway, ever since then I have always been partial to those and liked watching a yard full of them working. Still do! Cheers!

For a newbie, this video leaves a lot to be desired. It adequately explains and shows how to make internal adjustments, but does not show how to actually gain access to the internals without injuring yourself. The top does not just pop open with a flathead screwdriver, and the spring will just about rip your fingers off trying to hold the unit open to make the adjustments. The video does not show at all how to brace the unit for adjustment.

I just adjust while it’s running , you get wet but you don’t have to worry about trying to hold it up

Just started replacing my plastic rotary heads with these. Love them so far. The old ones were constantly getting hit with the mower or freezing and breaking or hard to get them set right. These seem great. Any drawbacks to them ? Dad used them in the 70s if I remember correctly. But they were GREEN.

I've adjusted the wire clamps, but my sprinkler stays in one place..how do I fix that?No instructions come with these, so I had No idea what the plastic things were even for. Maybe if I put one plastic head on it will work properly?

Mine only spins to the right, after clip is flipped down, it doesn’t spin to the left. I’ve adjusted the clips and still no luck. Is it defective?

Watching the clips with the yellow nozzle installed, its clearly way too high of pressure, prob over 70+ PSI and the impact arm is hitting the back of the throw and yanking it back with each impact cycle. The clips with the blue nozzle have a much more normal pressure, I'd guess 35 PSI, and it looks a lot more comfortable, if that's a thing... lol

I fixed mine by flipping positions of the little butterfly clamps (limiter). Move the one from the left to the right & the one from the right to the left.

One thing to check is for grass fouling inside cannister. Also, small snails just the right size to fit inside arm of nozzle assembly will stop them. To check, run a small flexible pipe cleaner or tywrap thru spray arm, this will dislodge them. I am not talking about the nozzle opening. I am referring to the arm that the water partially impacts to cause rotation.

I have a high traffic area by my driveway. I currently have a Rainbird 52SA sprinkler. Is it possible to replace the 52SA with this sprinkler? In other words can I mix the 52SA sprinklers with the impact sprinkler without losing water pressure to the 52SA sprinklers?

Just make sure it has the same Gallon Per Minute usage. The number on the nozzle indicates this.

@1:12 Installed a new Unit. When my arm spring hits the limit it doesn't flip the little spring. It just stays there and doesn't reverse direction. Did I get a defective model? Or is there something I can do?

Take notes so next time you can suggest that instead of having someone call a 800 number. Thanks for the reply though.

Yes, the rotor in them is exactly the same. Only difference in the LG-3 Mini-Paw and the AG-5 Maxi-Paw is the outer body (shell).

Funny pipe will work with both 3/4 inlet or 1/2 inlets.

My maxi paw don’t clip over!!!! The video attached that show what you can do is worthless. PLEASE, PLEASE I NEED TO KNOW HOW TO FIX MY MAXI PAW. These maxi paws are VERY EXPENSIVE!! Buy the cheaper LG-3 Mini-Paw and remove the rotor from it. Remove your old worn out rotor from your Maxi-Paw but leave the body in the ground. Then put your new rotor in your old Maxi-Paw body. The rotors are the same.
