Another cracking film, Feargus. Scotland never ceases to surprise us weather-wise, but this year has been totally mental!

Maybe it’s not so unusual long term and we’ve just got used to hot days in June over the last few years. That’s what the Met office said a week ago 🤔

@@feargusc is probably right-we were just talking about four years ago, at the start of lockdown, when the weather was incredible from the end of March to the end of June!

Not the the weather but ,for sure, one of your best videos.

Loch Ness is not the only loch with a monster No sightings today of Morag in Loch Morar Enjoyed that, beautiful scenery

Haha. Yes I’ve heard of the monster of Morar. Just left talking about it out of the final edit as that bit was getting a bit long. Glad you liked it 🙂

Hi Fergus, hi Laura, wonderful video as always, what an amazing area. I bet it was rather exhilarating being on those choppy waters knowing there was nothing below you for 300m, it certainly would be for me anyway! 😬 All the best guys Dave 😀⛰🥾🏕️🏴🏴

Yea it’s fascinating. Someday I’d like to get hold of a depth housing and light that I can lower to the bottom on a line and see what’s down there!

Very envious. Missing it all so much and don't see when I'll be out of it :/. Thanks for posting, once again a fantastically filmed and edited video. Brilliant!

Thanks Ev. If it's any consolation I was pretty miserable on a couple of the days in the soggy, cold weather!

That depth is basically the same as The Shard in London. Give or take 5 metres

Shame about the weather Feargus, it's a wild area in the best of weather. Backpacked in from Beasdale, over to Meoble, then to Oban, into Knoydart in a heat wave. All best.

Heat wave sounds better - especially when in a tiny boat :)

Is that a new pack I see 🤔😉 which one did you decide to get ? And how you finding it? I bet it's making a huge difference in the carrying sense with a nice sturdy hip belt again taking the load how it should 😊
@feargusc5 ай бұрын
How good of you to notice! Yes it’s a brand new Lowe Alpine Cerro Torre - and it feels so sturdy in its form, but also relatively comfy. So far I’m pretty pleased. Just hope I can get another 15-years out of punishing that one before being unable to carry such a big load anymore!

@@feargusc what litre did u decide on? As I know you like to take a wetsuit and drysuit at times with you. So I imagine it being quite a large capacity
@feargusc5 ай бұрын
I got the 80:100 litre one, which is the same as the previous one - indeed I do need a lot of capacity sometimes!
