Classic Rain Parade...For me,the EP was one of the musical highlights of that year. Matt Piucci is one of my favorite guitarists. They were a fabulous live band.

saw these guys back in 83 I think at a small house in flint. There must have been 20 people there and 18 were there to see the Strolling Bones. I sat there on the floor and loved every second.. I couldn't believe were coming and my friend wanted to drive there to see the Strolling Bones. RP played 4 or 5 songs and called it quits. they were so broke they didn't have cigarette money so I bought a pack and passed them around. Will Glenn was the nicest guy. Only Paisley band I got to see live.

These guys are incredible. I just thought of these guys recently and their music has been in constant rotation on my car cd player for the last two weeks.

One of the saddest moments in my life was when i realized these guys weren't putting albums out anymore... If any band never got its fair due, it was this one.

I saw this band in 1984, in Tempe AZ. It was right after the mini LP, Explosions in the Glass Palace came out. I remember they did Like a Hurricane by Neil Young. Just fantastic! This video helped me to relive that great show.

The Rain Parade sound great on the 2018 disc "3 X 4". I really wish they'd do another full length album of new material.

I can't help but go back again and again to this clip. The audio is knackered. But the performance is utterly mesmerizing.

I saw Rain Parade at a small club named 'Vig's' in Madison WI circa 1984. I remember most everyone up front sitting American Indian fashion.

Rain Parade in addition to be one of founding bands of Neo- Psychedelia also played drony wall of guitar which sounded like shoegaze ( must include The Dream Syndicate here) before the term was coined

Great guitar playing . . I wonder what happened to Piugi I agree that their first two albums are criminally neglected . . . so strong

Matt Piucci has had a long career, even if hardly anybody has ever heard any of it. After the Rain Parade broke up, he made an album with Tim Lee of the Windbreakers in 1986. He then joined Crazy Horse for an album ("Left for Dead" in 1989), and then he and a couple of Rain Parade members formed Viva Saturn, which continued in the same vein as Rain Parade for an EP and two albums, spanning into the mid-late 1990's. He was a founding member of two more one-album-only bands in the 00's, and eventually took part in the Rain Parade reunion of the late '10's. A very strong songwriter and singer, perhaps the most neglected and overlooked one of the entire rock era.

I remember watching and recording this at the time ( I still have it on VHS in the attic somewhere) but I'd forgotten just how terribly shit Richard Skinner was as an interviewer. Fortunately anybody who persisted after listening to his bollocks is treated to an excellent tune.

I am sure that one could find plenty in Cleveland to learn, study, consider, think about, ponder, etc. Only a lack of imagination would have one write off Cleveland (or LSD), after a modicum of visits.

Very Beatles circa Sgt Peppers. Like a Lennon song down to the production. Even Ringos style on drums. This is a complement.
