I just put these on my new Lariat yesterday, 297 miles. Got mine off of ebay for $49 for all 4 and i swear they are 100% the same minus the ford logo, and used the original clips and screws except for the L-brackets.

Same as the other kind. Leaves a big open hole behind left rear flap. That flap needs to be made bigger to protect the back of the left rear quarter panel.

just put mine on after I undercoated truck but I put my clips on the metal braces I did not like screw sticking out also you could jag hand while washing

As far as I am aware, on the driver rear side, there’s a bit that’s not covered by a panel that is normally covered on the other 3 corners where water easily gets in. And the OEM “splash guards” don’t cover that. I would recommend getting “Rokblokz” those cover that holds and are way more durable and don’t require drilling.

I really appreciate your great tutorial. The schematics Ford includes with the mudflaps are almost worthless. Very easy to install after watching this. The only things I'd add are (1) I installed the L brackets on the flaps prior to installing each one in the wheel well, and (2) the L bracket for the left rear is the long one and the right rear is the short one. 👍
