I've been struggling with really bad depression after sustaining a head injury while training in the army last year and after being in self isolation for 34 days now, I've been in a really bad place. For some reason, these ambient sounds make sitting alone in the dark way more tolerable. I hope everyone's keeping sane these days and staying safe. I hope this video can bring relaxation to people now more so than ever.

I'm in the beginning stages of treatment for this very thing (MDD/PTSD due to head trauma). Sitting in a dark shower, listening to ambient sounds is the only thing that soothes me. I wouldn't have believed myself two weeks ago, but it does get better. ❤️ receiving ketamine infusions and they changed my life.

I never understood why people love so much the sun(literally a quiet boring yellow ball) and "hate" when it rains. Rain actually may be a good ally: less silence, it's with you. Good smell, good sensation of fresh, predators doesn't hunt with rain, cloudy(so your eyes can see better than direct sunlight) and a beautiful landscape if there's lighting.

I live in the sunniest city on earth, Yuma Arizona. It rains maybe 3 or 4 days a year and is sunny literally 95% of the time. Clouds are rare here and rain almost nonexistent; I live for sounds like these ❤

I know for a fact you are lying down and listening to this, so let me tell you a story, shall I?...... There was once a forest, nice and fresh, wooden crispy bark trees were surrounding the environment, with its crispy leaves. Then, one fateful day, a storm started brewing. Everyone did not realise it til it started. And it didn’t stop. For 10 hours. You are now experiencing this event of nature. A truthful and calming sound. The sky grew darker until you could barely see, the fog was also covering it, making it just barely darker. For 10 hours this peaceful water ceremony went on, til all the creatures of the night settled in, and drifted to sleep. Alongside the people, pets and everything. Everybody is calm at night. Let us enjoy this sound and drift of to the wild imagination wholistic this cold ambience soothes our soul into a deep state of a hypnotic trance; relaxation. -(leave like if you enjoyed!)-

This is so weird bc my grandma who raised me would say basically the same thing with me. "Goodnight, don't let the bed bugs bite. If they do, hit em with a shoe and they'll turn blue. Sleep tight, sweet dreams, I love you." I hadn't thought of this for years!!

Sorry for your loss. My mom used to say Good night, sleep tight, don't let the bugs bite, and if they bite, squeeze them tight, and they won't bite tomorrow night. I think she didn't specify bed bugs b/c we were living in Ghana at the time, so mosquitoes were the most likely culprits.

Wow'. This is great advice I accepted, after Many restless sleeps. For many, many years I would be sent to camp as a child. For 6weeks at a time. Into Poland Springs Maine. We slept in cabins -8-10 bunks. Mesh Screens/doors. When it rained, The sound that came down from the trees..Onto the roof are unforgettable. This sounds VERY CLOSE . The most peaceful times of my life. This Sounds Very Familiar. I'm happy to have found it. BEST WISHES this New Year.
