I absolutely love how this sountrack almost never kicks up to the highest point when you're playing as survivor. Lizard right in front of you, prepared to snatch you? Take that perc 1 and nothing beyond that. But if you anger a noodle mother it IMMEDIATELY goes to the maximum intensity. Absolute amazing experience that will make you never ever try to do that again. I guess this game really teaches you to not fear the predator, but the angered caring mother, because the predator wants to eat you, the mother, on the other hand, wants to kill you, no matter how.

Oh heck yeah. I just love that even the music changes to indicate the threat level, as if it's the slugcat's instincts and heartbeat telling them it's dangerous. From letting you know that there's something dangerous in the room but they haven't seen you yet and you should be sneaking around (Perc1 and below), to full-on panic attack and telling you to RUN AWAY because they're chasing you (Bass and onwards).

I think it is a mix of that- A natural instinct of sensing danger from the shaker and 1st beat, the drum showing the primitive feeling when using the spears and rocks you are limited to, the arps and electronic music wraps all of it up in a nice little bowtie showing the wasteland/dystopian the slugca- No, YOUR mind is trapped in. pulling or pouncing on your primitive instincts and emotions. Even when you start the game for the first time your KNOW it means danger, and you will be correct

With two coming after it, winning against the Green isn’t worth it anymore. 7:13 They make their escape taking advantage of the two lizards’ territorial fight(the green one is winning). Running out of the predator’s sights while the two are distracted in their own clash. 8:33 They’ve gotten far enough away, and are safe. Slugcat pauses as a pipe flashes red. They’ve never seen that color before. Tensing up, preparing for comes out. It’s this humungous lizard red in color immediately sprinting towards them. 8:49 A high speed chase ensues. The monstrous lizard is the biggest in size, on top of being quickest on the move. The rocks they throw do nothing. It is too erratic, no good opening for their spear. They stand no chance. 10:24 Slugcat gets knocked down from a pole by one of the Red Lizard’s projectiles. Panic becomes extreme. Their surroundings become white noise as they run, fixating on death approaching them. They are now unable to think. The Lizard is faster. They are getting outpaced. Their life is hanging by a thread. 11:28 A massive harpoon from above stabs the lizard. 11:44 The lizard gets reeled up into the air. Slugcat realizes what that shadow from earlier was. The Vulture flies, now satisfied with a meal. 12:00 Slugcat cries internally, in relief as they recover. Thinking of the previous event that truly proved their low position in the food chain.

If you take a vultures mask but don't kill it, that specific vulture will hunt you across areas of the map until you or some other critter finishes the job.

when i was playing rain world for the first time as a survivor i escaped a green lizard but it followed me into the next room with another green lizard THEN ANOTHER GREEN ONE CAME (that gave me this 7:13) there might have been more creatures THEN AN ADULT NOODLE FLY CAME AND STARTED GIVING ME THE DEATH STARE which gave me THIS (8:49) i literally just started 😭😭😭 edit: it only gave me high threat for a bit (im not completely sure if it was the noodle fly)
