Of all of her wonderful performances over the years, this one may be my favorite. It takes a lot of courage and control to perform this aria, so exposed and transparent, at such a slow tempo, with such sensitivity and finesse. And her floated high A-flat at the end - a marvel of beauty! It stops one's breath, doesn't it?
