the greatest rock metal vocalist ever in history period no contest plus Ritchie blackmore , was lucky enough to meet both Ronnie n Lemmy n more 13+ times over 30 years+ Ronnie was the sweetest dude He loved his fans combine him with Geezer Cozy Iommi and you got the metal gods nobody could command a stage or tell a story like Ronnie he sounded just as badass 1st number as he did 3 hrs later live, even in his 60s with stomac cancer Ronnie James Dio was known for popularizing the sign of the horns in heavy metal. He claimed his Italian (siccilian ) grandmother used it to ward off the evil eye (which is known in Italy as malocchio). Dio began using the sign soon after joining the metal band Black Sabbath in 1979. still got my original albums signed .... Never Forgotten you little man with the voice of a roaring god Ronnie James Dio “He loved his fans, he never forgot where he came from, and he always wanted them. He said to [Halestorm frontwoman] Lzzy Hale as well, and she’s continuing on doing that. So he said, ‘When you meet someone you won’t remember that 10 years down the line, it was nothing, but to them it was everything, and they will never forget it for the rest of their life. So make it important when you speak to them.'” he was wrong becourse several times over the years he asked me how it was goin with this n that so some he remembered ... In November 2009, Dio was diagnosed with stomach cancer and died of the disease six months later. The rhythm section really powers this and gives Blackmore a solid base to put that epic solo on top. Classic Dio power here as well. I know I've mentioned this in my comments in other videos, but I do hope you consider doing my request for "I'm Not Gonna Let It Bother Me Tonight " by Atlanta Rhythm Section. ARS may be somewhat different from what you're accustomed to doing here, but it's a band with a great catalogue of songs that seems to be forgotten about. I also hope some folks who read this comment agree with me as well.

They not underrated. It depends on a country. Rainbow and DP are great and very popular bands back in the days and still for today, in Russia, South America, Japan, Germany, Australia, all post Soviet countries love them. People in USA only know less about them, and when they hear them first time they beginning to write like: So underrated bands, and Blackmore so underrated🤭. The rest world doesn't think they are underrated.

You need to check out some live versions, what's stopping you? Try Rainbow live in Munich, any song. Kill the king for example, you've already listened to the studio version. Would make for a nice comparison.

Wally, this is what I was talking about in other video about american raitings and charts. What a shame to put Blackmore to 50th place in best guitarist list.🤭. So, it means americans ignored somehow DP and Blackmore. But today every american who first time hear Rainbow or DP starts to say why I didn't hear these band before. I noticed it long ago, when I first had a talk with the guy from Nevada I guess he was, he said I am hard rock head, I love hard rock music, I asked him me too, i love DP, he replied oh yes i know smoke on the water riff... and that's all he knows...
