To Sofia Gomes. I hope you get this as I can't seem to reply straight to you. No problem and thank you. I would think that size 9/0 seed beads would work just as well. They are just ever so slightly smaller, so the final length of the bracelet will be a little bit smaller, but I can't imagine too much. You could always extend it a little at each end with that colour if you need to. But the pattern itself would be the same yes. I hope that was helpful :-)

Hi! I made this tonight - it's gorgeous. It's also a little short, by maybe a half inch. How do I increase the length and keep the color ratios the same? I thought about adding one bead to each color group on each thread but it seems like that might be too much. Math is not my strong suit LOL. Help?

Just received my kit and am already to start. I have always done “Bottom left UP, Top right Down”, turn counter clockwise and do the same... I have read and reread your instructions and video and for the life of me can not figure out which cords to change...Starting with cord between 16-17 as cord ONE etc.. which ones do I switch to do it the way I mentioned above.. thank you.

hi. lovely bracelet. thanks for sharing it. I was thinking it would be nice to extend it by repeating the pattern a few times to make a necklace. would you mind telling me how to thread the beads so that the red and the blue could blend together like the other colours do. I've been driving myself mad trying to work it out!...with no success. thanks again

Thank you so much for the video. I made this bracelet and it came out awesome. I have a question for you, How can I extend the pattern to make a necklace? I'll really apreciate your help on this.
@CSLdesigns9 жыл бұрын
ivette espinal No problem. That's great. It really depends how you want it to look. You could either extend the individual sections of colours by adding extra beads in them, or you could continue the pattern as it is but in reverse so it goes from red to purple and then continues from the purple back to the red and so on, until it has the length you want it to be. I hope that was helpful :-)

Hi Christina, I am really enjoying all your kumihimo tutorials, thankyou! I was wondering if there is any way to make a kumihimo bracelet on the round disk or square 'disk' using those square and round plastic letter beads to spell someone's name out? Thanking you, :-)

Hi, if I wnat to make a shorter one for my grandaughter, where do i put less beads?Or if I want to make a necklace how many beads do I need to add? thnak you very much for this awesome bracelet
@CSLdesigns9 жыл бұрын
+Graciela Mindlis You're welcome and thank you. To make it shorter you could either take a few beads of each end, depending on how much shorter you need it. Or you could take a few beads off each coloured section to still keep them even. For a necklace it really depends how long you want it to be. You could either extend each coloured section or you could 'repeat' the bracelet over and over again so you have multiple rainbow sections that blend into each other. I hope that helped :-)

Sorry to be a bother again, but I just went to the link you provided re: purchasing the Kit on Etsy. The description reads that the Kit bracelet measures approx. 7" and "upward by using the extender chain.Does the 7" measurement you give in the description include the end caps and clasp? I have a "baby" wrist (size 5) and am trying to determine just how much of each color I will need to decrease and still maintain of the beautiful design you have created. IE, how long is just the "beaded" portion of the bracelet? Many thanks in advance, Viki

Great Video! Thanks! I move the cords right down first and turn the disk to the left. In what order would II set up the beads on each cord? Thanks!
@CSLdesigns10 жыл бұрын
Cathy Milson Thank you. If you basically flip over the positioning of the cords on your disc, so you end up starting with the same cord that I did in the video. So if you imagine holding a mirror in front of your disc and then that will be the setup, if that makes sense. I hope that helps :-)

Dear sweet girl - thank you so much for the work you doing here for us. I wanted to send a PM with my question, but maybe someone else is interested in the same thing, too. I'm impressed how easy you are with these braids, and my question might look a little stupid for you, but could you, please, help? I'd like to make a braid (for a necklace) with just 2 colors, but I need them to transfer from one into another gradually. If it's not too much bother for you, I'd be really happy to get an advice how to place the beads for this braid. Thank you again for your patience, kindness, and generosity. Big hugs and wishes for your talents never fade away.

This is a beautiful project, but the number of beads was far too long for a bracelet. finished piece was 8.5 inches long.
@marykayewaterson67718 жыл бұрын
What size bead did you use? I just made this and it's just short of 6inches; I just asked her, above, how to lengthen it. She used size 8/0 seed beads for this.
@Rmeyer12268 жыл бұрын
I thought I used 8/0, but perhaps it was 6/0. I think the different brands of seeds beads are also different in size.
@marykayewaterson67718 жыл бұрын
Yes, you can't go by the brand name alone. And it's next to impossible to find 8/0s in the stores - I had to order mine.
@Rmeyer12268 жыл бұрын
That was probably the problem. I just ordered some 8/0s, so I'll give it another try. I'll use the longer one...add a chain and make a necklace. It really is a pretty pattern.

why are you speaking forever before beading? It gets boring and as you just speak and not really show it's difficult to understand.
@SvetlanaOstrovskaya278 жыл бұрын
She never tells anything extra - her explanations are full and meaningful - lots of people appreciate it. You are so rude and selfish. Why wouldn't you try to make a one meaningful tutorial once? Then you'll never say any bad word to people who makes them for you because it's hard and time consuming work. BTW, smart people know how to move the video to the place that is needed, too.
