This was so soothing and beautiful. We have such similar taste, especially when it comes to historical periods! I put so many books on my TBR just now. Funnily enough, Helena Kelly actually taught one of my Jane Austen courses in university.

So many great books!! East West Street, Brightonrock, and Captain Corelli’s mandalin now have to go on my TBR. I just read Pride & Prejudice for the first time and fell in love so I might have to check out the book about Austen. Pachinko and the Crimson Petal and the White are still waiting on my shelf. The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Newcastle is on my TBR for this month. 😂😂 loved the Book of Thieves. Loved this. Thank you!! 😊💙

Totally agree about “East West Street” - absolutely breathtaking. Wasn’t a big fan of non-fiction before, but this now is one of my favourite books of all time) Same goes for “The Cut Out Girl” actually. Thanks for sharing this! The rise and fall of the dinosaurs is SO FANTASTIC! Have you read it? 😊 Its written in such an engaging way. My favourite dinosaurs are triceratops. I am adding What Matters in Jane Austen to my list! Art as Therapy is also wonderful. I think the idea of organising galleries not by periods or styles but by emotions and using galleries as (crudely put) a therapy space is such an interesting one! Would Love to hear your thoughts as I havent seen anyone else with it on booktube. Black and British is the book im always pushing down peoples throats too. Its SO good and NEEDED. Is Peach any good? I read Rest and Be Thankful by Emma Glass last year (I read it twice) and it is PHENOMENAL. The writing is just fantastic - captures the exhaustion, the madness and the struggle of everyday life so well. Its one of my favourite books. Have you read it? I think I read a few lines of it in my most impactful books of 2020 video if you wanted a sample of the writing.

The Rise and Fall of the Dinosaurs is actually Ben's so I can't comment on it but Triceratops are my favourite dinosaurs too ahaha 🦕 I really loved Art as Therapy as I'm quite a big fan of Alain de Botton’s writing in general. I never finished reading Peach though as I found it quite triggering but I hope to one day 📚
