Black is a color, isn't it? Also those jaguars are naturally black, they're called black panthers! Black panthers (which are popular in our culture, thanks to the 1960s radical group, Bagheera from the Jungle Book, and the Marvel superhero) are actually jaguars (in the Americas) and leopards (in Africa and Asia) with melanism, which is the opposite of albinism!

Here's some more animal trivia from ZooNooz. Do you know what the difference between an alligator and a crocodile is? Well, gators are smaller, have darker skin, and also have a U-shaped snout, as opposed to the croc's V-shaped snout. 7:03 They don't explain the science behind it but it actually IS like a kid with one big freckle because it's a pigmentation condition involving the same skin pigmentation as freckles and moles, sort of like a reverse albino.
