Rainbow Chalice Coral

I started my first salt water tank on December 5th. Its currently cycling and I'm so excited to get corals in the tank but trying to be patient. I have watched so many of your videos during my research and have learned so much from you! Thank you for putting out good honest content which is easy for a newbie like me to understand!

I started mine 5th december a year ago. As Topper is stating; dont rush;) It is my main regret that i put first corals in after 4-6 weeks (minimum), i now understand I should have waited 4-6 months instead (maximum? Maby longer if you going for those SPS?) Long story short; not all corals have survived:( feeling bad about it as they are animals, not plants:( 4-6 weeks is good for some mushrooms, zoa's and some other softies though most likely:) This was my first tank, but really cant wait to start a 2th with all the knowledge i've learned in past year! (Included from FragBox, they indeed are awsome!)

March your store is amazing nice and clean you and your staff are very friendly and so helpful iv been stopping in once a week the last 2months its worth the 1.5hr drive and the videos are great iv watched pretty much every video now I really enjoy the longer videos hopefully you will record your next coral shipment or do a live

I have a Rainbow Dynamite and mine is the size of a half dollar US or a Twooney Canadian and mine was 550 US so yours is 4 times the size but you buy wholesale I’m assuming soooo 1500 usd is my guess or 1700 Canadian.

Are you seriously saying that big one grew from a tiny frag in a year and a half? I am investing in high end corals and only have one of these coming in because I though they grew very slow!I I dont like encrusting, is there a way to make them plate? Or is there a certain type I should be looking for that plates? Do all the types of chalices get along together? I have vertical tongas I want to place a variety of different ones together! Just not sure how to attach the plug to a vertical rock in order for it to plate. Maybe dremmel a notch in the rock and glue it facing outwards! Anyways hopefullly they will plate horizontally off a vertical rock. I know you said they dont get along together but would that be ok since they will be space in between them if they grow out plating! Love all ur videos!

What do you do when you have zoas that come in stressed? I havnt dipped quite a few but now I am kind of freaking out that I may have introduced something to my system. Is it to late to dip them now that they are doing ok? Also what do you do when zoas arent opening for a long period? Is there a certain dip I should use? How can you set up a quick quaratine for corals?

not so much to worry about there, unless its a carpet anemone or something like that haha. some corals are poisonous though so be careful when cutting/handling them.
