Daniel, I love your videos and have probably watched most of them at least once. I was hoping you would offer some advise. First I know I need to get the dyes you recommend, I'm still using Rit and Tulip dyes right now, I don't get vibrant coloring but I think that might be the reason. But I've got a few other questions. First, you say that you have washed them before you start taking the rubber bands off in the videos. Are you running them through a wash cycle in a washing machine or rinsing them with a garden hose or what? Second, I ordered some cheap white cotton bandannas and I noticed dying them the dye wanted to roll off of them like it was polyester or something. Do you have a favorite place to order bandannas and larger pieces too. I'm not sure what to look for for larger pieces, bed sheets and tablecloths look like, well bed sheets and tablecloths even after they are dyed. Thanks again for your videos, they are the best tie dying vids out there!

+David Palmer Thanks. One time through the washing machine, just like a round of your day clothes. I normally get bandannas from dharma trading. I would like feel more comfortable in my sewing skills...

Is the artificial sinew what makes there be space between the dye where the guitar is and the rest of the colors?

That was my pool team shirts for league when I played. I did batik the 8. I don't have a tutorial for it, but thanks for noticing.

do you wash out the soda ash? or dye it straight after?
Yes, normally I design the guitar at an angle along the front of the shirt. I will use a ruler to sketch a straight line on the shirt with a washable marker. They are great for air guitar contests.
