Kinda alarming they included resin on a kid's toy. Reminder that resin fumes are toxic and needs to be set at least a week away from you, preferably at a well ventilated place. Good thing Toya came up with the idea of using hot glue instead! No toxic fumes to inhale

Remembering when I was a kid, and thinking of my own daughter, the crafts that come with dolls aren't the exciting part, and maybe there are other families where it's all the fun, but I think in the long run, kids would rather have the accessories and clothing.

the lips are so pretty just like you said! mattel could take a hint..... i feel the resin play seems a bit irresponsible by MGA towards child audiences, im not sure its very safe and it seems more like a cash grab without any care about the hazards. they should stick to gimmicks that arent easy to mess up in dangerous ways when its a product for kids.

I love that Sparkle and Shine Marina and the lipstick on the Creative Crystals Iris Bow is the best I’ve ever seen and she’s so cute. I hate that the RH does lost articulation but those two dolls are so cute I might just have to get them anyway. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Toya, the gum drops are so cute. I like the dolls. I don't like the see through legs,they are a bit strange. I agree with you about more accessories and articulation instead of the activities. I think that the snowmans arms should be plastic,the paper ones would wear out too quickly.

Iris is so unbelievably beautiful! I hate a lot of the new Rainbow High dolls but she's totally won me over, I really need to know who her body match is so she can have articulation 😅 For everyone curious from personal experience: recent MGA products using resin kits is pretty bad so I don't blame Toya at all for avoiding a demonstration. 2 separate kits, the make it mini food and LOTR mini swords, didn't properly cure making it dangerous for children and even adults. Definitely just gonna use my own resin if I wanna use the molds for any crafts. 😐

You can body swap the sparkle & shine dolls to other dolls for regular legs ! I body swapped rosetta with sunny! You can use georgia, simone , jewel sunny or karma!

I love Rosetta's clothes and accessories. The fan and strawberry purse need to be in my dolls' lives. :D I'm not a fan of these new legs though... to me it makes zero sense and I don't know what MGA is thinking with it. That snowman is super cute! But I agree that the accessories would have been better as plastic. Your little gumdrops are adorable! So perfect!

The new Sparkle and Shine dolls have such pretty faces but the legs are weird and disappointing. Guess they could be rebodied. It was nice when the dolls came fully articulated and with a second outfit. I understand that it is cheaper to make the bodies with few joints but it was a selling point for a lot of buyers. Maybe it would be an idea to have the fully articulates dolls with coll accessories and separate fashion packs available.

The dolls are really pretty. I only have Skylar because I loved her design room pieces… when I caught it for $20, it all of a sudden jumped into my cart. 😆 There’s been a fair bit of controversy about the resin play dolls, but once again - PARENTS - pay attention. 🤦🏼‍♀️ Does it say if it’s UV resin? I’m assuming it is since there doesn’t seem to be a Part A and Part B. Another - PARENTS - pay attention because you’ll need a 365NM light to cure it, same as mini verse. TFS! ❤

I really hope that MGM mentioned in their directions for the resin craft that you should protect your lungs and hands while doing this - be it pouring in the mould, or sanding it afterwards. Resin is highly toxic, even if it looks as cute as this activity. You demonstrated a much safer alternative, at least for slightly older children, with your hot glue method. Cudos to you!

I still love the cute Rainbow High Dolls, but as they dropped the fashion school theme, the quality went down. Less articulation and the slime or craft thing doesn't make me want to buy them, neither for me, nor for a child. The skirt, where you could put water in is not beautiful at all and the first thing i would do is cut away all the plastic...i will buy other dolllines from other brands instead but its always nice to watch you show them in your videos...to you and the whole family merry christmas.

What on earth is up with the see through legs?!! Seems a bit gimmicky and guaranteed to yellow or go bad fairly quickly. Iris Bow is gorgeous and usually I don’t care for rainbow hair but on her it’s stellar. The inflatable skirt made me giggle. Made me of think of the silly stuff that are for the runway or the Met Gala. Not meant to actually be worn. And I can’t imagine how ridiculous it would be with water.
